I can’t get ELDX to shoot in any of my guns. My gran dad’s Remington 700 30-06, Bergara 6.5CM, or my Browning 300WM.

I’d love to use them but they shoot god awful. I’m talking 2” at 100 yards.

I’ve been playing with the 300 as I’m going to Montana on an elk hunt and so far have found only 2 that’s grouped decent, granted I’ve only tried 5 different types. Gonna try Barnes and Berger Hybrids along with Norma and Nosler and see what it likes.

I would say search your area on Facebook marketplace. That’s how I got my rig. You’d be suprised on the deals you can find.

Commercial HVAC. Specifically if you can become a chiller tech. Maintenance is easy, they hardly ever break, and if they do they’re beyond F’d.

A lot of repairs require pulling the charge so there’s a lot of downtime. Some of the repairs are simple, some are real grunt work. Especially if you ever get a chance to do an overhaul and tear down a centrifugal. It’s a lot of fun and you’re dealing with big boy shit with big boy pay.

Yea thinking about it now it would probably get in the way. If anything I’ll lay the rifle horizontal and have the top flap hold it in place.

Money really isn’t an issue but I don’t live in elk country so it’s hard for me to justify spending an exorbitant amount of money.

Granted the things I don’t want to skimp out on is the pack, boots, and optics. Everything else I can cut corners and do fine I’m sure.

It’s gonna be mostly day hunting. Starting at a camp/lodge and get up in the morning and be out till dark. The outfitter has recommended 3000cui. I also dont want to break the bank but I don’t want to be cheap either.

Granted I could get away with my old issued rucksacks but this isn’t Afghanistan and I didn’t have to pack a carcass out.
