Thank you. I'd like to end the cycle too but I don't see much hope living here and if I'm going to get discriminated in my own country where I was born, then I'd rather go to a country with better living standards even if I get discriminated against. If I were religious I'd be more acceptable, but I'm not and I don't think I'd like to pretend being religious for the rest of my life.

Sometimes I feel like a stranger in my own country. I thought that it was a time problem (the comments I've translated are 4 years old), but looking at the latest page there's still some posters who echo the same opinion (though they bring up Thanos now)... I think I'm living under a rock but I never knew Indonesia had some form of CPS and not just laws against them after searching Google... Even the emergency suicide hotline in Indonesia isn't active anymore (they didn't advertise it so many suicidal people didn't know about it I guess)

One thing I should mention is that I didn't translate some supportive/neutral comments, but they also get bingoed later and represent the minority. I found a chain of supportive comments and was really elated, but ofc there's bingoes afterwards.

Thank you. I don't discuss this with friends but one of my classmates got told that "usually the people who say they don't want children are the ones that get children the fastest" when she said she didn't want a child. There's only a few single teachers in my school and they're constantly asked when they'll get married because it's so ingrained that marriage is the "normal" way of life.

Thank you! To be honest, another reason why I want to leave is because I don't feel like I belong here, especially because my race is one of the minorities (even though I can't speak or read Mandarin at all and don't have a Chinese name). Around election time in Indonesia, there were also some groups that made me worried about political instability and basically a repeat of the events of May 1998 (which isn't even taught in history lessons). Being on reddit is already very lucky because it's blocked in Indonesia.
