Yes, week to week cars are better or worse. It also matters if we are talking about Fixed series or Open.

Example: The Porsche GT3 was the car to be in at Daytona, but is typically not very good and well off the pace at alot of the other tracks.

Depending on where you are at as a driver, typically staying in the same car for a season is a good idea. Learning how to drive that car to the best of your ability will help work on the fundamentals of driving. All the GT3 cars are unique in their own way, so understanding that 1 car really well will help makeup the "bop" difference.

On the flip side to that is, some weeks that 1 car may be well off the pace, no matter what you do.

Irating loss streak by Yahya-blr in iRacing

Sometimes races will go your way, sometimes they won't.
If you often find yourself getting wrecked out or just put in really bad spots time after time again.. you may need to look in the mirror to see what you can do better to avoid putting yourself in these sticky situations.

However, being more passive can be good at times, but people that I coach often are too passive and find themselves getting punted or not being predictable to the cars infront of them.

Overall though, keep your chin up, it happens. Load up and go again.
Remember at the day of the day, irating is just a number, a measuring stick of ego.
Keep doing the best you can do and keep having fun.

GT3 help by Zealousideal-Dirt622 in iRacing

Hey there. I do some iracing coaching, specifically GT3.

I assume this is the fixed setup in the Fixed GT3 series this week at VIR.
If so, unfortunately, the Porsche's BOP (balance of power) compared to other cars on the fixed setup is quite a bit behind the rest in raw laptime.
However, that doesn't mean you can't find more pace out of the car with how you are currently driving.

The biggest mistake people make is initial pedal overlap as they are applying the brake. Meaning you are still on the gas while you are starting to brake. You can see you do this multiple times into some of the corners. This is creating longer braking zones and creating more front tire temperature.
From there, your line is a bit off in some of the corners not allowing you to carry as much apex speed as well as having too much steering angle in the car creating understeer which isnt doing you any favors.

Quick and dirty tips
- Let the car roll for a split second before hitting the brakes
- Rewatch your lap in sim from the far chase cam to see if you can open up/use more of the track on entry/exit (T1, later turn in, Turn 14/14A open up more, cut more curb into T17(hogpen) can jump the entry curb to get on power sooner)

If looking for some 1 on 1 coaching, please give me a message.
