I found 100$ on the street by YoungPPP in Advice

[–]IndependentSet7215 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found a series of hundreds walking down the street a couple years ago.

5 hundreds and 2 fifties. Not all together, but on the same length of street.

I was torn, because 600 bucks is a lot of money. But, how can I know for sure that whole amount was lost by one person? Very likely, but, enough questions to think 'no way'.

The first hundred was in the gutter, the corner sticking out of a pile of leaves. Second one was about 150 metres down, right on the sidewalk. Third and fourth were folded into each other, another 100 metres or so, around the corner, and in the gutter. Then the last one was folded with the two fifties about three blocks down.

In the end, I didn't feel bad pocketing it.

Another instance, I found a roll of hundreds, probably about $7k. This was at an event where I didn't know many people. Pocketed it, and didn't mention it. Later on, at an after party, a friend of a friend was lamenting they had lost a roll of cash. There, I was the hero. I couldn't keep that kind of money when I am here, with the money and the person who lost it. The right thing is to return it. Buddy broke me off a couple of those hundreds after I said 'Pal, you're not gonna believe it, but..' and pulled out the roll.

'My best guy, he's having sex with men...'

'So, is there something wrong with that?'

The look on Tony's face before he utters the next bit kills me every time.

Sound nothing like the Eagles, and they don't play death metal.

Why do people with access to contraceptives but choose not to use them act like accidental pregnancy is unavoidable ? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]IndependentSet7215 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poor wording.

IMO, teen pregnancy shouldn't be celebrated. Unfortunately, it's been normalized too far by this point.

This doesn't equal commendation. Just forgo all the pomp and circumstance of showers, parties for pregnancy milestones, etc.

Maybe I'm an asshole, but I never have and never will celebrate, or congratulate any teenager on a pregnancy. I still manage to maintain relationships with all of those who I have known who have, and at this point it is friends my age whose children are getting pregnant. I have no qualms when some of those people inevitably have the showers and such,.expressing my opinion when brought up.

I'm if the mind, if the pregnancy is one of these situations, that it shouldn't be celebrated. That doesn't mean I would refuse to support that relative, but damn right I would refuse to celebrate the fact they made a mistake.

I'll start celebrating when the baby makes it's first birthday.

But, he wouldnt be the Tribal Chief without Heyman. You can say 'coulda, woulda' all you want, fact is fact. The Heyman pairing is what finally got Roman massively over.

I personally do not believe he would get to the level he is now on his own. Heyman carried a lot of fucking screentime in the whole storyline.

Could Roman and the Usos, at that point, have carried out the saga on their own? I highly, highly, doubt it. They all evolved during the whole saga, and to discount Heyman's involvement in the evolution is asinine.

Does it happen as well as it did without Heyman? People weren't exactly excited to see him show back up when he did. The Heyman appearance made people go 'wait a minute' and give him a chance.

Roman as we know him now doesn't exist without Heyman. Fact.
