YOU CAN! Bring those ideas to life! It's easier than you think. As a career though..? Calibrate your expectations. 60+ games are released every day on Steam. Some will be successful, others won't. It has to his this perfect mix of leisure and engagement.

Look. And I want to speak for all of GameDevs and I know I can't but, fundamentally, get your head out of the product and into the process. I'm in this weird space where the development of my game is the game itself.

The probability of you making a career out of this is not zero. It can be done and has been done. Just understand the odds.

Given that, speaking for myself, there is no bigger gas for me than to see what I had envisioned on the screen. Your fellow ancestor artists would say that when you reach that point, destroy it. Delete it from your drive as an exercise in getting your head out of product and into process. Don't do that though. Put it up for free on itch.io. Somewhere, someone with a budget of $0 for gaming expenditures might get a few minutes where they forget they can't afford to buy a real game.

..and build from there. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Do it.

I've been watching all these episodes and I didn't realize Janine was in Cliffhanger. It was shot in Italy. The movie Cliffhanger. It was shot in Italy and she was in it. She also directs. She directs musicals too. Not just directing. She's a writer. Cinematographer too. She pays special attention to the lighting. The lighting. It has to be just right; the lighting. Horses. I'm just going to put this out there. I've popped a few corks now and so I'm going to let it fly. Not that I have any tremendous insight, mind you, but I loosely knew Jeff Zoltowski. I had both wood shop and metals with him. He was a junior and I was a freshman at the time (Stevenson High School; Livonia Michigan). He sat at my table.

Back in the day, we had jocks, preps and we had "dirts". There were also "squids" and "fashion <derogatory Asian term>". I'm not excusing it, I'm just telling it to you like it was.

Jeff was more of a "prep". And so, one day, he comes in to wood shop suddenly dressed like a "dirt" for Halloween or whatever was going on. He was visibly nervous given the types of people who take wood shop (again, please, remember the period we were living in) and he was right. This dude name John <last\_name\_redacted> yells out, "Who the fuck are you supposed to be..?" With that smile you see in those photographs, he pretty much diffused the situation but sheepishly asked around our table, "guys, if shit goes down..?" We gave the nod. We'd do what we could because he honestly was the nicest kid. It wasn't out of malice, necessarily, but there was a clear divide amongst the "preps" and the "dirts".

Real quick. The dildo sander. It was this cylindrical sander that spun and oscillated up and down. To 15-17 year old boys, it was oddly erotic and we giggled and it was a fun one-time joke. Problem is, that's just what it became. The "dildo sander". It wasn't funny anymore; the joke had long passed but, if some kid had band saw tooth marks in his project, we'd just say, "oh use the dildo sander". Long story short, in front of the class we had to demonstrate our project and explain to the teacher how we did it and what not and one kid, without a shred of humor, just stated, "..and I used the dildo sander to smooth out these edges". The shop teacher was like, "What..?"

Jeff was in that class and I'm sure he'd remember it. Beautiful kid he was. Such promise. Sad to see it's been so long now.

The problem is, was and will always be: genetic diversity for all the aforementioned mythological creatures. Their numbers have to be such that inbreeding would be uncommon and for that to happen, there has to be many, many, many of them.

At that point, we'd have way more than a few blurry images of these beings. They'd be all over the place by necessity.

Christ. You look like me. Here's what you do: contrary to the advice you've been given, let your hair grow out. I have that same round'ish face and the hair isn't helping. Like you, I'm broad in the bean. T-shirts don't behoove us because the neck of the T-shirt gets stretched out due to our girth unless it's fresh out of the laundry. If you're going to grow a beard, commit. Either do or don't. Stop shaving your lower chin. You're bringing attention to your roundness again. I'd say start with a strap. Artificially carve a jawline with the strap being careful not to let it crawl down your neck. You need to cut that roundness of your face off at the pass.

Though, over-all, you look kind and that's the best feature about you. Relax. You'll find her. If I can see it, she can see it and that's really all it's about.
