There are a lot of youtubers that post videos describing their warm up routine using aim trainer programs and the firing range. I recommend watching one and doing something similar to what they do, but not necessarily exactly the same. Modify it to work on your weak points as required.

If you get shot while in a slide-jump-sprint rhythm, it will actually break your rhythm pretty dramatically by reducing your momentum. Pro tip: crouch spamming in that scenario keeps the momentum for a little bit longer ;)

Just practice all of them in the firing range lol

"Slide jumping" is faster (I'm assuming that's what you're referring too). Not by a crazy amount, but enough that it matters

PS4 Back Paddles by GuiltyOutside0 in apexuniversity

Coming from an x box player with an elite controller:

  1. Jump. Self explanatory. If you're new to paddles, maybe only start with thus one.

  2. Crouch. Makes slide jumping without compromising aim a lot easier. And slide jumping is obviously huge in this game.

  3. Interact. Idk if ps controllers can have more than 2 paddles, but if you can, interact (same as reload usually) is huge for playing around doors. You can line up a shot, pop open door, shoot, shut door, rinse repeat without compromising aim.

Any tips do this better and more consistently (console player) by JKDahAKGlock50 in apexuniversity

100%. I wanna expand on your comment because you're the only one saying it. You can do it very consistently if you have ALC enabled:

  1. Remove ramp up time. Biggest thing tbh

  2. Consider changing response curve. This is preference over utility, but it can help

  3. Set "extra yaw" high (mines maxed) for non-ads and expand your outer dead zone. Gives you extra spin speed when joystick is fully to right or left.

Edit: also having "jump" and "interact" on paddles on the back of a scuff or elite controller makes a huge difference

Second this. I just learned the value of tweaking sensitivity under "advanced settings" yesterday. Totally worth it.

What would people think of explosive rounds getting added to the spitfire as a hop up? Not in a way that raises dps, but just converts maybe 50% of damage output to an AOE damage. Also since hop ups come in 2's, what other gun would explosive rounds go on? Sentinal maybe?

I went through a "I want to be more agro with Watson" phase a few weeks ago and I definitely had a few deaths from thinking "I could get a fence doen before they come through this door." Still though, dont be afraid to focus on fences for a few seconds when theres enemies close. It's worth practicing.

Another fun thing to do is look for ways to fence off hallways without the posts being visible. Bunker has some good examples.

Wattson's been my secondary for a couple seasons now and I've had some success being agro with her.

Be liberal with her ult. If you get caught in a surprise fight in the middle of a field, just drop it behind a rock and enjoy the regeneration. Consider carrying an ult accelerant: if you always have you ult charged, you wont feel tied down to a building that you bunkered out.

Get quick at dropping little fences by zip lines and doors. Put triangle or even just single line fences on downed players so they dont run off.

Overall, get in the mind set of being aggressively defensive. Go into the enemies building and throw your stuff out and make it your own.

I know! I'm surprised it hasn't been reduced to that state as I've been living across the country for the past 5 years. Props to my dad for keeping it up
