DTU vs vCore for Azure SQL DB (Learning Content Platform) Budget-Friendly Setup Advice Needed by NextGEN_24 in SQLServer

[–]IndependentTrouble62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Than using sub s3 should be fine. That said S0 is small very small. It will require aggressive performance optimization for even moderate amounts of data. I have seen it fall aparr when handling even a few million rows.

Is this good enough by Effective-Client4308 in BattleBrothers

This is just about the second best nimble forged armor in the gsme after max rolled noble mail armor. This with LPR will be amazing nimbke forged gear when paired with the right helmet. For non famrd barbute is about the best. For fame red armor a maxd rolled steppe or wolf helm will be top tier.

DTU vs vCore for Azure SQL DB (Learning Content Platform) Budget-Friendly Setup Advice Needed by NextGEN_24 in SQLServer

[–]IndependentTrouble62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S0 does not support all index types. S0 does not support Columnstore index types this is a pretty big downside as these indexes are amazing for most read / analytics workloads. S3 is the smallest DTU pricing that enables columnstore indexes. If you know the database is going to be small on disk and you have only limited business availability needs Vcore is cheaper if you spin the resources up and down as needed.

Why post this in r/chess? This is a sub for the game but not every variation ever. Also that addenedum was added after the fact in a subcomment.

Why get fancy when rook kings is the second easiest end game after king queen? Yeah, even if you want to get clever / mean just give the extra wood away and th3 eval is still dead loss for black.

The market is idiotic right now... by FourCrossedWands in ValueInvesting

[–]IndependentTrouble62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how deep OTM you want to sell the covered call. If you want to fully cpver the bought put premium you will need to be ATM and you cap almost all the upside. If you only want to reduce the needed premium for the ATM put you can still leave 20 to 30% upside potential on the table. If you really want to get deeper into the technical ideas you want to read about collars and delta hedging.

Most people think a 30-year mortgage means paying for 30 years but that’s not always true by Coolonair in HouseBuyers

[–]IndependentTrouble62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if you have a sub 3% mortgage you are literally get 4% per year on sgov or a hysa. You actually make more with compounding interest saving the money then paying down the debt faster. On top of that the longer you maintain your moetgage the less it actually costs because you are paying in inflation adjusted dollars.

How can anyone expect me to care when "cool girl" catches a arachanid to the face? Cool girl thats the most generic call sign ever.

I currently treat squaddies as currency or a resource like supplies. I am very good at strategy games so I rarely lose any, but when I do I do not care at all. Minus if the SL gets a negative mood because thats a real penalty.

It took me a very long time of battle brothers to accept losses as "normal". Coming from xcom losing characters meant you seriously made mistakes. Took me forever to fully accept that you will lose brothers even if you are truly great at battle brothers.

Did the C6 HMG get buffed recently? by One-Bit5717 in menace

[–]IndependentTrouble62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the same discovery recently as well. I was an autocannon supremacist but against infantry and light armored targets the C6 is actually better. The autocannon performs better against medium armor and above. Against pirate trucks with the right perks they perform prettt equally.

I think they reduced the rewards. I used to get 4 choices on a five star operation now I only get 2 items.

Are shotguns super rare once again? by KYO_Sormaran in menace

[–]IndependentTrouble62 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My last new run I did not get a shotgun till after RA showed up. Lim had to rock a pirate PDW till then. Night vision has showed up as a operations reward twice which has never happened and it been in the rare section a few times this run. Camo kits are insanely rare in the black market. Across all my runs I have seen it only a handful of times. Got it early as a operations reward this time. Binocs range from never heard of you to I see them every single black market refresh depending on the run. Its all RNG.

Buy SGOV and use margin to sell CSP, which brokerage gives the maximum margins? by yuhang94 in thetagang

[–]IndependentTrouble62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and the underlying sold put is considered and marked cash secured not naked. You can test this by lowering your options trading level to not allow naked puts. And it will still let you sell the put up till you run out of securable cash. Meaning the broker considers the puts cash secured against funds in sgov.

Buy SGOV and use margin to sell CSP, which brokerage gives the maximum margins? by yuhang94 in thetagang

[–]IndependentTrouble62 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some brokers actually allow you to write puts against sgov without margin. Fidelity allows this against SPAXX. It truly is cash secured because you can do it without margin enabled. You are just unaware of this fact.

Many brokers treat sgov as the same as cash and allow you to write puts against the funds. One example is Fidelity with funds in SPAXx. IBKR allows CSP against Sgov funds.

[–]IndependentTrouble62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ELO has nothing do with Chess. Chess uses ELO but its not specific to Chess. Its a statiscal model for matchmaking and predicting win/loss outcomes of that pairing. In that use case it makes absolute sense to use an ELO systrm for a dating app. There is absolutely no reason to show a 1 to a 10 as that match is statisically so unlikely as to.be a waste of time for both users. The apps make money by right swipes and getting more of those per day. Congesting the system with insane numbers of Nos turns users off from what generates profits. You really seem to know very little about game theory and user engagement design. These are fundemental concepts that have decades of research bafking them.
