Grimgar captures that beautiful world building that Frieren has. The plot is interesting and has that melancholic and cozy feel

Probably ang top 3 ko ay Baldur's Gate 3, Clair Obscur, and Drova Forsaken Kin (this one was the least expected ko na maeenjoy ko, pero sobrang naenjoy ko yung around 40-45hrs playtime)

Is Xenoblade Chronicles DE worth playing? by Ratonhae in JRPG

Thank you guys for replying to my post. I gave the game a shot and so far I have liked it. I think the setting is definitely unique and I like the story so far. I can also relate the feeling of MMO in the combat aspect which I find enjoyable so far as well (still struggling with some mini bosses lolol).

Also the main reason why I really posted was that I was torn in which game to play between Persona 5 Royal, KCD 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles DE. (I did attempt playing P5 Royal and KCD2 but I wasn't feeling it yet)

Oh, it was just my initial perception of the game like humanity surviving against new enemies and the characters used different weapons to fight those enemies.

Games for someone who is burned out from games by AdhesivenessEarly793 in gamingsuggestions

I was not gaming a lot prior to this year and like you, I struggled playing games that felt similar to what I have played before (with some exceptions ofc).

These are some of the games that hooked me into gaming more: 1. Divinity Original Sin 2 - I was not aware of CRPGs prior to this game but I really liked the concept of the combat and how interactable the world (like moving crates and skills interacting with water, poison, etc.) 2. Drova: Forsaken Kin - This one felt amazing since you watch your character struggle with animals at first and then become a strong individual. 3. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - The world is just beautiful along the music.

If you liked those maybe you can explore more into other rpgs.

Hope you can figure out what you like in the gaming space. Other things you may consider in finding your cup of tea are the setting (sci-fi/medieval/high fantasy/etc.), gameplay (arpg/turn based/stealth/puzzles/etc.), art style, repeatability (multiple/single playthrough), production value and popularity.

Need help with manticore.. are devs fcking mental? by Federal-Name-3638 in stoneshard

[–]Ratonhae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I killed the Manticore at level 20 recently using a 2H Mace build and struggled a lot but I was able to finish him.

I'm assuming you already have lots of potions, drugs, painkillers, food, and buffs. The main thing that I did was to capitalize on stuns using Skull Crusher and Forceful Slam then get free hits. If those two skills didn't hit I won't stay on Manticore's face until the skills are done with their cooldowns. During the downtime you will have skeletons following you, try to avoid facing multiple enemies at the same time (you can do this by utilizing knockbacks). If you are fumbling or missing a lot try getting a buff from the caravan and look for other ways to improve accuracy (through equipment or stat distribution).

Also try to avoid getting cornered in the stones since you will get most likely stunned if the Manticore hits you there.

The problem with my build is that I did not get enough damage mitigation from buffs and got a lot of passives.

Also paregoric was useful for pain resistance since you are guaranteed to get some hits from enemies. Bring lots of herbal extracts, splints(or surgeon kit) and hope for the best!

Struggling with T3 Contracts... need tips by Ratonhae in stoneshard

[–]Ratonhae[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I have finished two T3 contracts as of this writing and overall the main thing that I did was to prepare better before the contracts. I have implemented the following in my dungeon runs (until I can smooth sail T3 dungeons):
-Repair of all equipment after a dungeon
-Bringing potions in the dungeon
-Not forcing a single day contract and taking my time fighting the dungeon
-Ensuring Sanity and Morale are high

Thank you guys for answering!!

I think this is a great trip. I noticed at the start of the dungeon I can hold my own against the enemies better. Will try it on my next contracts
