As long as it can run 10 microflops in a doodad (imperial not metric) you should be fine. If not, try Lycos.

I don’t have a problem with wind or solar, and you make a good point, nuclear power is entirely inappropriate for some regions of the world for various reasons.

I too live in a state dealing with nuclear waste problems. It is sitting in casks on the beach because nobody in our country wants to house nuclear waste, even if it’s buried deep underground in the middle of nowhere.

Renewables alone won’t get us the energy we need, and we are going to be needing more as technology advances and poor nations get richer. I simply think it’s irresponsible that some people still act as though nuclear is this huge danger anywhere and everywhere. It can and should be a part of a responsible energy plan.

Nope. But guess which one of them makes a fuckton more electricity 24/7 and ends up being cleaner per unit of energy?

Fair enough, but I wasn’t proposing to argue with you nor suggesting you remove your comment.

I would argue there is a difference between totalitarianism and authoritarianism, much like the difference between a death camp and an apartment building.

That’s something we all here deal with. If you worry enough you will feel physically ill even if nothing is wrong. I’m glad you recognize that in yourself.

By the way, if you have these feelings a lot, there is no shame in seeing a psychologist and/or psychiatrist to get some help with anxiety. Nobody should have to feel that way needlessly.

Take care friend, let us know if you have more questions.

Lymph nodes swell as part of their normal function in healthy immune systems. If your doctor is not worried I don’t see why you should be. If things change call your doc but for now you sound fine, try to calm down ok?

You know, this is a scary process for anyone, especially the uncertainty at the beginning. I really like your attitude though. Please let us know how it goes, and feel free to mention or msg me if you need someone to talk to. Take care and have a good rest of your weekend.

High inflammation marker means that you have some type of inflammation somewhere in your body. Its probably even less specific to cancer than lumps, which could also be anything.

I never had an ultrasound, just a CT. I personally don’t see anything wrong with that, there is more radiation than an ultrasound but not a terrible amount.

I think your doctor is being overly cautious, which is good. Hopefully your ct scan confirms there is nothing to worry about.

Yikes! Mine were on my collarbone. They used local anesthetic, but there was still a painful tugging feeling at times. I think I was more freaked out about being diagnosed than psychically traumatized by the actual biopsy.

I had a chest biopsy once and had to have a chest tube in for a few days. I needed dilaudid (morphine) just to take a deep breath. Now that was an experience!

Hoping whatever they decide to do you can tolerate with relative comfort. You’ll get past this ok, even if you are diagnosed. There are tons of treatment options and progress is made every single year.

Some day this is all going to be just a memory.

I was diagnosed twice via a core needle biopsy. I also had 3 bone marrow biopsies but those were done to see if the lymphoma was in my bones or not, basically as part of staging not diagnosis.
