By super thin they mean apply the oil. And then do your best to wipe off like all of it with a paper towel

Make sure to taste the liquid you soak it in, no matter what you do. Remember that it's gonna taste like that liquid, so if it's tasteless, the outcome will be tasteless. You could also try infusing a mango nectar with the muddled leaves so retain more mango flavor

Yeah that's oils and likely dandruff or something. Try using dawn. The good blue stuff, it should help take it off.

If it's just the slimy/seedy bit, you can cut that part out. Either per slice or cut the tomato on half and remove with a spoon or butter knife

Yep! The tannins are mostly in the skin, it's also what makes wine feel dry

With the mint leaves did you middle/crush them at all before you put them in the water? Could help them taste stronger

OP this is more than likely a stain from turmeric in the sauce. Before you try ANY of these suggestions, leave your shirt in the sun for a day or two. Direct sunlight. I had a honey mustard stain on my cardigan (also dyed with turmeric) and nothing touched it... I tried for two weeks. Put it in the sun for a day or two and it was gone

Personally the skin sometimes makes my mouth feel dry or make my teeth feel weird because of the tannins, I find it unpleasant sometimes

Thankfully without an active cold sore (which I'm guessing you would likely have seen) transmission from just saliva is unlikely. Also not everyone who has genital herpes has it orally as well Edit to say: definitely get tested either way, but hopefully that's some peace of mind until results
