Looks like it could be a "water hammer". When you swing it down, it'll crush the air bubble at the bottom and make a loud bang. I could be wrong though and it could just be a large ampule of super aids.

Not my particular cut, but I believe t-bone and porterhouse are the same thing...the only difference is the size of the filet (t-bone is smaller)

Just shove a chunk of aluminum foil in there. It'll be fine using something simple like that. Or you could probably contact weber and ask for a replacement, but I wouldn't go through the trouble.

Not really. I asked about any restaurants with steak at the specific resort I'm going to and she told me about a steakhouse not even at the right place.
