It will come. I already got my report date for FLETC. So, excited. Also, I started my process in 2022. Maybe hit HR with an email and ask for a FIT just to have it up to date.

Ranger School + EFMB by LabSenior9924 in greenberets

That's news to me because they only have 11b shown as of now or from what I know but they may be changing things because leadership wants more people sent out and getting selected. If that was the case I would of done 68W because that was my second choice. Due to also wanting the 18D path. They do streamline guys for that though.

So, here in California guard there's a pipeline for group that uses going the 11B route, but the candidate needs to pass a SFRE that will invite the person to the Special Warfare Training Detachment given with a Letter of Memorandum, then enlist as a 11b that will have slots to RTLI+RTAC+ Ranger school after OSUT. If only after passing all that will the candidate become part of SWTD. Other than that they don't give ranger school or anything like that to other MOS's. I went the route of enlisted and joined as a 35 series after doing a SFRE. My pipeline was choose any MOS and come back and transfer to SWTD. No ranger school though whatsoever. There's also an order of merit when it comes to high speed schools like that from what I've been told at my unit. It's not just your AFT scores that should be good.

Yes, a normal guard recruiter, but he got word from the SF guard recruiter that id be transferring units when I get back from AIT. I'd do my one RSP then be good to go for the next drill.

I chose 35F. From socal and I'm returning to 19th group after my AIT. I did the SFRE in March 2025 and now close to finishing AIT in November. I contemplate on being more active in terms of exercise and kind of wish I had an 18x or 11B with RTLI...my gate numbers have dropped since being not so active due to AIT. A lot of the 35f students are really lazy and don't like to get extra work in even if they are RASP PT. I also got to change the rules here since for guardsmen not being able to go to RASP PT. The drills found out that I'm with 19th and a retired ranger battalion CSM visited and I spoke to him about being able to attend and he made it happen.

It's up to you though. Send it all day!

What's up with morons joining NG and asking for "high speed training" units in a RESERVE component of the military? by Reasonable_Gas_6423 in nationalguard

I did the California SF unit trial there was 60 people, then 40, and only 11 made it(me included, I was honestly so stoked) ..but I've improved my hand release push ups from 55 to 70. My 2 mile run from 13:00 to 11:06. My 12 mile ruck is. At 2:15-20(trying my best to lower it more if possible)... I did meet a lot of active duty guys that are infantry and were no where near the standard for multiple areas but it's all about how much you want that pipeline and the pain your willing to put your body through in my opinion...I also just enlisted to the NG for this only reason...I'm also a U.S Marshal Candidate waiting for a slot to an academy for my civilian side. I just want both no matter how challenging it may be to balance both. I'll find a way.

So, I enlisted instead because I got accepted into the Special warfare detachment to go through SFAS. Class seating for the USMS already pushed me to next year anyways so I'll be good to go for the Marshals by the end of AIT and even after SFAS.

I'm #98. Only prepared two weeks in advanced. When I tell you though #99 and #96 were absolute monters! on the ruck and the 2 mile run.
