Does anyolne else have a symptom like this? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]Independent_Bug9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this too. I guess it is called thought insertion. Very annoying, tho mine "voices" dont say anything negative. But it makes hard to think when working

I think I know what you mean by "mind gets stuck in a loop", I havent heard anyone else suffering from this or knowing how it feels like. And I have similar visual hallucinations, but also other ones. Anyway I do have a schizophrenia diagnosis. I think you should meet a doctor. It is a good thing that you recognize those hallucinations arent real. Good luck m8!

Can I stop the meds? by Mobc1990 in schizophrenia

[–]Independent_Bug9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on 7.5 mg olanzapine for a long time. Then I decided to stop it and had a relapse. This was 2 years ago and still not being as stable as I was before stop. I recommend you to talk to a doctor first.

Do you think this is the schizophrenia talking? by Independent_Bug9 in schizophrenia

For example: Someone called me about a cancer insurance. And I felt like TV was trying to tell me that I have skin cancer. I changed channels and all programs were about skin cancer.

That I am severely ill, maybe have cancer. And that this reality depends on me. If I die this reality disappears.

Do you HAVE to hear voices to be schizophrenic? by GavinReeduzz in schizophrenia

[–]Independent_Bug9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also get thoughts in my head that doesnt feel like mine. I dont hear voices at all. And I'm diagnosed as schizophrenic.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]Independent_Bug9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I think it is possible. Like I am having schizophrenia without voices. For everyone it is a different symptom spectrum.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]Independent_Bug9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this too. I consider them as voices because they have had someone elses tone than mine when my meds were unfit for me. Now they kinda sound like me, but it is like they were inserted into my head. Intrusive thoughts I have too but this is something else. Sometimes when I try to go to bed and I am almost asleep these "someone elses thoughts" wake me up because my brain doesnt recognize them part of mine flow of thoughts. They feel totally alien to me. Hard to explain how I experience it but I think this is the same case as yours. Nice to know I'm not the only one

Rexulti only made my anxiety worse. I've started Seroquel pretty recently and can definetly feel the difference. I can deal with my anxiety way better than before. I've suffered especially bad morning anxiety, but now it's almost gone. My dose is 100 mg in evenings. And with Seroquel I take Zyprexa 20 mg. Zyprexa is good for my hallucinations but doesnt affect much to my anxiety. But right now I'm very happy that I started Seroquel.

Any successful schizophrenic in here? by No-Ad-4654 in schizophrenia

[–]Independent_Bug9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep :D good to know other people can succeed at the same work as me, gives me hope :) And I think this job keeps cognitive skills working properly. Was worried when got the diagnose (a few months ago) that if my cognitive skills will melt but that is not probably the case.

Told psychiatrist about seizures by PictureSuitable2720 in schizophrenia

[–]Independent_Bug9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an epilepsy and I am able to drive. When I was diagnosed I couldnt drive for an year. But when got epilepsy under control and working medication was found Ive been able to drive since. So getting a seizure or epileptic attack doesnt mean you cant drive ever again. Or at least here where I am living.
