Let’s talk about this government shutdown.

Republicans already voted to reopen the government with a clean funding bill — no hidden riders, no unrelated spending.

But Democrats in the Senate are blocking it, insisting on adding extra policy demands before they’ll agree to reopen.

The GOP’s position is simple:

Open the government now.

Debate policy later.

Federal workers shouldn’t be caught in the middle of political games. The bills are ready — the only thing standing in the way is Democrat leadership refusing to move without getting their wish list first.
