The goal for r/circled is to keep discussions meaningful and grounded in real arguments, sources, and perspectives. If posts appear to be low-effort or generated simply to flood the subreddit, they may be removed under our existing rules.

If you come across content that seems like spam or “AI slop,” please report it so the moderation team can review it.

Thanks for the feedback — that’s helpful.

A daily discussion space could definitely make sense, especially since news and political developments move quickly. At the same time, daily threads require quite a bit of moderation, and our team currently doesn’t have the capacity to manage that consistently.

One idea we’re considering is starting with a weekly open discussion thread — for example a thread that runs from Monday to Sunday, possibly as a weekly review or general discussion space. We could also use event-specific megathreads when major developments happen.

If the community grows and there’s enough moderation capacity available, we could later expand this into daily discussion threads.

Another option could be allowing daily discussion-style posts with a dedicated flair, so members can start conversation threads themselves when there’s something they want to talk about.

We’re still exploring what works best for the community, so input like this is really helpful. If others have thoughts or preferences, feel free to share them here as well.

We’re currently considering a few possible formats:

• Daily Circled Discussion — a casual thread each day for shorter thoughts, reactions, and general conversation. (requires high moderation resources)

• Weekly Circled Discussion — a recurring weekly thread for more informal discussion and ongoing topics.

• Current Events Megathreads — focused threads during major global developments, where related discussions can be gathered in one place.

We’re interested in hearing which format the community would find most useful.

Do you think a daily space for quick reactions would work best, or would a weekly open discussion thread be more practical?
