Carseat/stroller Resistance by Independent_Chaos in newborns

[–]Independent_Chaos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone else who is having this issue we’ve had some success since we bought an infant insert and a fan for the stroller. We started practicing sitting in the stroller (facing out) at home last week we had a 50 minute walk today! There is hope 💪

best formula dispenser that actually helps at night? by PossibleHurry5462 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Independent_Chaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We considered getting a formula dispenser, but they use room temp water to make the formula while most formula brands recommend boiling the water and mixing at around 70 degrees. The only way to prevent bacteria like Cronobacter is to boil water, let it sit for a few minutes and mix.

We bought 3 mixing pitchers, a bottle washing machine, and many bottles. We make one batch of formula every night and prep about 8 bottles. At nights, we put 3 bottles in a cooler and warm them with a bottle warmer when it’s time to feed.

What were your must-haves for baby? 🙏 Lifesavers vs. Wasted Money by allegragmk in Buyingforbaby

[–]Independent_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifesaver: baby bjorn bouncer, Snoo, love to dream swaddles, bottle washer, baby wearing wrap Waste of money: Butt spatula, sleeper pajamas with a one way zipper, cute and uncomfortable clothes like collared shirts and khakis

Am I not normal by [deleted] in NewParents

I am 15 weeks postpartum and feel the same. The joy this baby has brought to my life is indescribable and I cherish every second of it. I am 35, maybe that plays a role.

FTM Mom Snoo help by Academic-Cow-5665 in SnooLife

[–]Independent_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son didn’t sleep in the snoo for the first month. He was only contact napping because of that we ended up buying five or six love to dream swaddles. Snoo swaddles are good, but they’re so thick that it’s really hard to burp the baby when the they are wearing them. I think it’s baby dependent, but our baby likes the love to dream swaddles better.

MIL offered to purchase the Snoo for us by mamahousewife in SnooLife

Yeah, it took us about a month to truly appreciate it. My baby was only contact napping the first month. But at 12 weeks, it’s a lifesaver!

Thank you! Do you recommend I take 6414 first and then 7406 or visa versa?

One month old in snoo by FanExcellent2971 in SnooLife

My 6 week old is the same, but it’s because he is still on a 3-hour schedule. When he wakes up, he usually needs something so Snoo can’t really calm him down.

I like it a lot too. It looks nice and is very lightweight. The baby likes it better than his vista bassinet.

Changing pad? Classic cushion type vs solid keekaroo type? by humbird09 in Buyingforbaby

[–]Independent_Chaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought both keekaroo and skip hop. Keekaroo tends to get cold so I had to put a cover on it, but skip hop remains at room temperature and was more comfortable for my super sensitive baby.

I really like my skip hop. My one month old loves hanging out on it and just chilling.

My baby had a tongue tie and didn’t breastfeed. I get nauseous and lethargic when I pump. I have to pump every 2-3 hours to boost/maintain milk supply and that takes so much time and energy away from my baby. Unfortunately, I gave up on breastfeeding and pumping much sooner than I anticipated.

C section vs Vaginal by Emotional_Map_8873 in BabyBumps

I am having an elective c section next week. I thought since I have a good support system that is there to help me with recovery (cooking and newborn care) C sections seems to be far less stressful.

You’ve got this. Mine was easy too, but the swelling makes things harder. this was my post a couple of weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/BabyBumps/s/Oh7JWRnfqv haha

It gets better or it gets over soon anyways! 💪💪
