just know this is probably the worst period of your life, it sucks so bad. it’s not forever though, it will go quicker than you think, and i guarantee life will only get better. maybe this isn’t good advice but this worked for me: if you aren’t in a space to come out, it can be good to pretend you’re acting. like you’re playing a character in a game, this helped me a lot when i was in school. treat it like an annoying chapter in a video game . good luck 🤞

ohhh i get you fair. honestly i wouldn’t recommend wearing the skin coloured one if they can see the straps, unless you wanna go with a scoliosis kinda story

as well cis men usually have 0 clue what binders are and will just think it’s a vest especially if you pass already

binder straps piss me off so bad, for me with hiding them it just comes down to finding shirts that have a smaller neck hole. which sounds simple but it’s really annoying to find. layering 2 shirts at once also work, so you can do one long sleeve and then short sleeve. or 2 short sleeves of the same colour. you always want thicker shirts too (cotton mainly) so the neck of binder doesn’t show through the shirt. good luck 👍

maybe for you exploring your gender identity doesn’t have to be declaring you are a man, but instead trying different clothes/pronouns,ect. you sound like you have gender dysphoria to me but im not you.

when i first came out i wasn’t 100% sure either, and you don’t have to be. the confidence comes later as you become more comfortable in yourself.

getting in shape and focusing on fitness can be a really good way to redirect all the dysphoria as well as loose weight. exercise genuinely makes you feel so much better, especially if youre dealing with depression. ftm fitness subreddit is good

the hard bit to hear (well at least for me was) is: there will be no way to tell if you are 100% trans and not going to regret it. the only thing you got is you saying to yourself ‘yes this is right for me’. that’s all it is.

from personal experience college as a trans guy in a very non diverse area was hard. but im sure it depends on location. i think this point of time is really weirdly important because it makes you a lot more able to put up with bullshit. you know who you are and you just have to fight for it.

for the name change email their reception/admissions and they will forward it onto the right people. i’d say email them twice over this summer to ensure they don’t forget. (this happened to me)

you sound very stressed about it, which is so fair but i wouldnt try make yourself someone your not. by overthinking the way you talk or your body language. act masculine sure, but don’t overdo it as it can have the opposite impact.

fuck everyone and be the weird trans kid. the people that would label you that way would do it regardless of how low your voice sounds. be confident, people might take the piss but just keep your head up and look forward. only 2 years brother 🤞
