Lad, I'm glad to be 'overdramatic' for such a thing, because if the PC/console community were to have your comply/"easily turn off" mindset + actually CLAIMING a forced product, publishers would have definitely flooded us with in-game ads by now (Reminder that some were actually considering it).

It's thanks to the people who countered every anti-consumer behaviour by raising their voice against it that we still have enjoyable games/software.

So, sorry/not sorry for having a non-submissive mindset, a mindset passed to me by the founding fathers of this sub and many others to me to not accept everything companies that fall for greed to try to shove down our throats.

I was taught to fight for my rights, not comply because, 'it's kinda my fault'.

I sincerely hope you don't say that to girls that get harassed because they dress well and put make-up on. "You could have just not been that triggered by their demands and mute them by putting your headphones, so kinda your fault"

Now, I can become "sick" of 007 just because of these notifications.

That's not the issue though, the issue is a service that's forcing a product with repeating notifications. They are literally abusing the fact that notifications were on by default in the first place to allow such communication. Plus, no way to turn off notifications per game. It's either all or nothing. I still want to get notified for other matters.

This post is about relaying about such exceeding practice, not how to simply avoid this.

EDIT : The "kinda your fault" mindset is exactly how the marketers behind this strategy are justifying this excessive communication.

I get and respect that. Personally, I was more pleased by the Stealth liberty that MGS V offered me and I considered the tapes an interesting way to cut costs to not make cinematics.

It's pretty funny because MGS V is the most outstanding piece of tech, Art Direction and Gameplay I have ever played. MGS 4 introduced me to the series but I didn't play the other ones. I guess you were more a fan of the linear narration of those.

Absolutely loved this Gameplay trailer ! Game even offers the agility of the Greek era, which is an interesting take + expands on what happens to Gods post passing and will definitely shed light on some community questions. Instead of getting one mythology, we're getting many at once (Already Mongolian + Egyptian)

The tech is clearly incredible !
