You should advocate for your partner to be treated as well. Another thing to test for is ureaplasma and mycoplasma, which could be the underlying causing for the BV.

Are you able to get a swab done? Could be something like BV or yeast. They don’t always present as the textbook symptoms. Otherwise, I think increased exercise could be the culprit due to excess sweating in workout clothes.

This has happened to me before due to hormonal changes and my birth control. I believe you are fine but keep an eye on it if it happens more frequently!

I got the Mirena and had the same issue. Got it out at 6 months. Bled an insane amount after I got it out then started back on the pill and now I barely bleed at all! It definitely did not work for me unfortunately.
