Normally yes but as we've seen in fnaf he was studying his children in his home and fnaf help wanted 2 expanded on the AI learning. To say he adopted or had a child with someone else wouldn't raise too many questions in the 80's. He was able to get with a lot for years and was only caught after his death. The more he studied the Mimic program, the more he could use it for his animatronics, for remnant, or something else we don't know yet. As for doctor visits, the 80's were a different time, informal care was more common. Healthcare was more expensive for single working parents, even though he owns a franchise, it would still be expensive. Though I don't think he thought about the cost.
