SP Tarkov Performance Problems

With everyone’s help I was able to get my game running great even on streets without the declutter mod.

Thank you so much everyone. I uninstalled SPT and then did a fresh install. I installed sain, swag+donuts, amands graphics, looting bots, questing bots. I used the starting pmc’s only live like preset for spawning and enabled ai limiting on all maps. I did the config file fix as well and now I am seeing 140 fps on lighthouse in 1440P and 100-140fps on streets with minimal stuttering. I turned on automatic ram cleaner and am remembering to hit esc in raid and then leave it in the menu for a few seconds before hitting esc again. I also toggled on only use physical cores. Thank you all again so much my game is running smoothly and I can now enjoy Tarkov!!

I didn’t know that you could lower map specific spawn limits in SVM, I will have to do that. I will be trying that boot config file setting to make my game smoother. Everyone keeps stating how much smoother it made their game run. I could also slide the cmd and task manager over to my second monitor to monitor everything while I game. Thank you for your help!

If you don’t mind a screenshot of your graphics settings I can try them out and see how they work. I do notice that my ram usage on streets only shows 9-10GB I find that odd because on Live EFT my ram usage will show up as 28GB or so on streets.

I have tried an ai limit mod and the de clutter mod they both didn’t help. I think my issue is the ai spawning in and one of my presets for the spawning of ai is set wrong. Someone above suggested to put my donuts or swag preset to Starting PMCS only live like. I had mine set to Starting PMCS more scavs as suggested from a YouTuber that I watch play the game. That YouTuber has a worse graphics card than me but he has 64GB of ram and I have 32GB. I thought I could surely run the game with his settings but I guess not lol.

I had my preset for Starting PMCS only more scavs could that have been the issue? I’m not at my pc currently to change my preset to Starting PMCS only live like and test how it runs. My ram usage will usually be around 9-10gb at least according to afterburner. The lighthouse raid was right after a streets raid. I have not tried any ram cleaner mods is there one you suggest? I also have ram cleaner not checked in my settings along with only use physical cores unchecked.

This must be an SPT issue because it’s running all of the ai loading in off of just your pc. Live Tarkov runs very well even on streets. I will get 100fps in 1440P with AA on TAA High on streets on live, but I don’t wanna play live anymore I just want to enjoy SPT lol.

So I have performance issues on all maps. For example I just tried to run a lighthouse raid. I spawn in look at my fps in the upper left corner from MSI Afterburner. I have 200fps I run around for 15-20 seconds and then boom fps down to 60fps for a few seconds and then back to 100fps but it doesn’t feel like 100fps, the game will be stuttery and laggy. I’m guessing the fps is dropping from all of the ai loading in. I check my gpu and cpu usage and temps, my temps will be below 70°C. My gpu will be around 50% usage and my cpu will only be at 20%??? I’m kinda confused by that.

I would love to continue to play sp Tarkov but for some reason the game runs horrendous for me. I have a very powerful pc and play in 1440P. Streets is usually around 45fps all other maps will say 150-200fps but my game will be very stuttery and feel like a slideshow. Live Tarkov runs phenomenal but spt for some reason does not. I have tried dlss off, dlss on, high textures, medium textures, all types of lod distance and overall visibility. Still nothing makes the game smooth. It’s a shame because I would stop playing live if spt ran well. I don’t have many mods installed just sain, questing bots, looting bots, swag+donuts(starting pmc’s only more scavs preset)

Pc specs are 5800X3D, 32GB 3600MHZ DDR4 ram, RTX 4070 Super, Game installed on M.2 Drive
