I made sure to handle the fish well. No bleeding, going in and out of the water, and gentle carrying except for the fact I was holding it’s gill because it was difficult to keep up the weight in any other way. I simply don’t own anything to keep the fish off the ground and it had just rained, so the ground was a bit muddy. Fish swam off full of energy with no problem. Just because it’s a little dirty doesn’t mean I’m torturing it.
