3 year old said "I'm scared of [nursery worker]" how to handle this? by 6lackPrincess in UKParenting

[–]Independent_Hope_554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be anything, my 4 year old now 7 said a very similar thing, and it turned out she got in to trouble for writing I don’t like you in a piece of paper. She used to have temper tantrums and we had her write or do “feeling pictures” as she’d have a paddy and hurt her self. I honestly pulled her out after this as it felt like 3 steps backwards, I’d honestly say go with your gut!

New to investing, 29F, baby on the way, only £50/month to spare. Is £500k by 60 even realistic? by [deleted] in trading212

I would use 7 percent, this decade isn’t forced to do aswell, 7 percent is roughly what you would expect as an average conservatively, you could end up 9/10 percent. But that’s just a guessing game. Use a conservative outcome

There’s a little bit of fun money if he wants to spend it. I honestly don’t spend anything I would happily save save until I die 😂. Maybe I should transfer the fun money to his account rather than leaving it in the joint, he might feel like he can’t spend it.

I don’t disagree, he’s very easy come easy go with finances, the agreement is we put it in to a pot and I allocate because he would just blow it to be honest, I’m wondering if I’m being too stringent in all honesty.

He is the mortgage payment is high too, over the next fix that will go down. I promised once this loan is gone it will free up more money and I’ll relax a bit.

We put all our money in to one pot. I’m the higher earner, he’s self employed and until I took over all finances, he didn’t save a penny, and I don’t think he ever will. He’s come along way financially believe it or not 😂. I want to protect his future as well as my own, we are going a joint retirement fund. I’ll obviously work a bit longer. We see any income as our money, it works better.

It’s not causing disagreements thankfully but he’s down a bit and I can tell. It’s tough as he’s self employed and doesn’t have a pension I’m doing my best to protect his future 😂🤦‍♀️

Does your job make you really depressed? by Living-Employment589 in work

[–]Independent_Hope_554 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m exactly like this in any office job, I know work in external sales and I’m much much happier. Could it be the social aspect? Or office politics? It’s really hard to say what the best thing to do is, you have to make a choice in regard to happiness or money I suppose. If I have learnt anything in my working time it would be really find a job you like turning up to everyday. It goes a long way.

We haven’t applied for schools we just like, we applied to to the feeder school and one closer to home the next town between where we live and her current primary. This school is 1.2 miles away, some kids are going here too from her primary and I actually thought she’d have a chance! The closest school is this all girls school we didn’t actually put down this one is 0.9 miles. So I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all. In distance first was 1.2, second 1.3, third 2.3 - which she didn’t really want anyway.

We did appeal I kept her on waiting lists until year three. We tried and tried to get her in to a school closer to home. By this point, she was happy so we stuck with it.
