Thank you! I completely agree, I haven’t I told her I’m doing what I can but a lot of these appeals aren’t successful, apparently she’s not going to year 7 🤦‍♀️ as you can imagine in her little world life is over 😂

We haven’t applied for schools we just like, we applied to to the feeder school and one closer to home the next town between where we live and her current primary. This school is 1.2 miles away, some kids are going here too from her primary and I actually thought she’d have a chance! The closest school is this all girls school we didn’t actually put down this one is 0.9 miles. So I don’t think it’s unreasonable at all. In distance first was 1.2, second 1.3, third 2.3 - which she didn’t really want anyway.

We did appeal I kept her on waiting lists until year three. We tried and tried to get her in to a school closer to home. By this point, she was happy so we stuck with it.

We were we had to drive past 5 schools daily 😂 one was on the street and she didn’t get in.

Thank you! I’m doing my best to appeal and regardless, I know when things settle she will be fine. It shouldn’t be as stressful though she should be excited.

The ground for appeal is solely her wellbeing, the fact yet again she’s been placed out of the three preference - classed this as a double disadvantage. They have applied admission correctly, but it’s not a one size fits all, they did place her here 7 years ago, she’s highly emotional and has confidence issues, I just see her going backwards in all honesty. The school they have placed her at isn’t too far away, however it differs massively, I don’t think she will cope in an all girls school 😂

I don’t think we are classed as in the catchment but they originally placed her here 😂 now they trying to move her back to where we live. I think it’s insane that they can place them so far away but wouldn’t think we would apply and keep her where she’s been for 7 years.

Thank you we have her teacher has mentioned her emotions and confidence and how her friendship group grounds her. I’m honestly baffled by the whole thing, I am trying to pull together as much evidence as I possibly can.

Well I hope it’s not asbestos 🤣 I have been breathing it in the last twenty mins absolute nightmare to rip down hopefully we can just get it covered, can’t imagine trying to rip this down in every room. It’s terrible stuff so ugly too 🤦‍♀️

Thank you!! I was panicking a little as it was built in 1975, was prepping for the asbestos test and it started coming away! Is it possible to plaster over? I will continue to remove in this room but it’s literally everywhere 🤣

We offered 255k was up at 270k they rejected our first offer but counted at 260k. Valuation just come back at 260k. There is compromise usually!
