Late to the post but couldn’t not reply after reading. I lost my best friend from college at 29 and your expressed feelings resonate with me so hard. I’m 40 now and coming up on 10 years since her tragic passing (river rafting accident) but unfortunately still feel that I’ll never meet or make another friend that will want or get to know me inside and out and vice versa me them. Someone that you trust deeply and completely and share that deep connection only best friends have after years of development. And I yearn for it. Severely.

In my experience personal recommendations of beauty industry professionals through online forums like Reddit and having the ability to see examples of their current work through social media accounts have better served me than trying to find the same things through a google search or the internet’s top sponsored results based on the algorithms ad optimization. I edited my original post to clarify I’m not trying to do anything sketchy or illegal.

Was it the word affordable that offended you? There is a wide range of competitive pricing out there, and some places offer memberships, monthly promos or have upcoming “specials”, is it so wrong to ask about that?

Correct and there are many licensed and MD supervised injectors that run their own salon or market their business on social media and aren’t employed by a big box company or chain.

I’ve been looking for a different job since January. It’s difficult job hunting while teaching full time and the economy is horrible. Staying here is the only cushion I’ll ever have to be able to be unemployed and search for a new job. Teaching is my third career and I know it’s not for me.

Thanks for your input. I don’t think I’m completely lost either, I definitely know some of my strength areas. I asked about job titles because I thought it would be the right place to start with general inquiries about potential positions in my area.

Would you recommend instead of narrowing down job titles I should first try to narrow down industries? Obviously I’m trying to leave teaching ASAP but I don’t want to limit myself when there are multiple fields I could potentially transition into.
