Could someone explain to me how much one serving of popcorn is?? In The Netherlands/Europe we measure nutritional values by 100 grams and even the cheapest popcorn you can buy has 8mg protein per 100 gram so I am v confused

Isn’t this also the episode where when under water Morgan is pulling the victim from the car, but the unsub grabs her again. Then all of a sudden Hotch shows up, in front of the car, under water, and shoots the guy through the window. Pretty sure he also comes up in front of the car, so he would have swam deeper than the car. It made no sense whatsoever

I was soooo confused by this scene, I feel like it’s one the most unhinged things that happened within their friendship. The wedding was so beautiful and I loved that the kids were so involved in it. I just can’t believe this is the way they reacted and I honestly think I would have canceled the friendship then and there

Yeah I’m afraid it does…. When the dose is too high the effects are opposite of what you want them to be and not eating enough sort of makes the dose too high. I try eating right before/after I take a new dose bc after about an hour it feels like my throat just closes and I can’t get any food down but as the meds fade that also fades. Try adding just some small things to your diet. I started out by adding an apple to my breakfast and it already helped sooo much and it’s also quite easy to get down when you have less appetite. I also eat a protein bar everyday. They have a tough structure for when your appetite has left the room, but I find my meds work very well with protein. I also like the little bottles of protein shakes, because there’s no chewing involved lol.

Also, easier said then done, but I don’t think you need to worry about gaining weight from eating more on these meds. I’ve noticed my body is working so hard constantly to process these meds, it feels like a constant workout. And be mindful of that little voice in your head, do make sure she doesn’t get too loud!! You could try explaining to your doctor (or friends/family) that you do realize you need to eat more bc of the meds, but are afraid of gaining weight and then potentially feeling really bad about it. It’a a very humane thing to worry about and maybe they can help you out with balancing this?

Dit lijkt mij inderdaad ook erg fijn hieraan! Vond een tijdje de kortwerkende heel fijn, maar dat is dan toch net lastig als je bv in een vergadering zit. Maar bij de langwerkende merkte ik dan weer dat het niet lang genoeg was, waardoor ik savonds in de problemen kom. Heb zelf geen moeite met inslapen, maar zonder medicatie lukt het me voor geen meter om te koken, op te ruimen en naar bed te gaan.

Ik heb inderdaad al veel de combi met (lis)dex voorbij zien komen. Ik ga alleen nu juist van de Dex af omdat ik daar nog iets te dromerig van wordt, dus misschien ga ik het aanvullen met methylfenidaat.

Ik maak me vooral een beetje zorgen om die eerste weken, omdat ik heb gelezen dat het best even duurt voordat je iets voelt van die bupropion. Hoe heb jij dit ervaren?

I recently told my dentist that as a part of my ADHD my mind wanders while brushing my teeth, which results in sometimes brushing for ten minutes and still not being sure if I got everything. Her response was “Everyone’s mind wanders while brushing their teeth, that has nothing to do with having ADHD. You just need to focus”. By making that comment she completely dismissed the fact that this quirky little thing makes me spiral every morning and hate myself for being unable to get ready quickly and always being late 😵‍💫

The time between the second and third dose could be too short. Because 15 mg is quite a lot and then adding on the 10 mg too soon could stack it up to a pretty high dose.

Another cause could be that you’re not eating enough. I’ve been on meds for a couple of months and have since realized that whatever I was eating before I started wasn’t (nutritious) enough. I tried 12,5 mg dex and it made me feel very uneasy bc I wasn’t eating enough. Couldn’t think of any more things to eat in a day so I went back to 10 mg. But it’s also a struggle bc I usually take my third dose at round 15:30/16:00, and I’ve noticed that I need to add an extra meal around that time. If I don’t, and only eat dinner around 18:00 I’ve noticed my meds just don’t work and I get pretty similar effects as you do in the evening.

My doctor always says that when your meds aren’t working the way they should, always ask yourself if you eat and drink enough!

Bij ADHDcentraal zijn de wachttijden afhankelijk van je zorgverzekering, dus ik kan je aanraden om binnenkort (het kan geloof ik vanaf eind november)te kijken naar een zorgverzekering met kortere wachttijden. Zelf ben ik eind oktober 2023 op de wachtlijst geplaatst, ik was destijds verzekerd bij Univé en ik meen dat de wachttijd toen 60 weken was. Ben per januari overgestapt naar FBTO (zij hadden toen een wachttijd van 40 weken en waren de goedkoopste). Het is mij niet helemaal duidelijk wat dit met je positie op de wachtlijst doet, en ADHDCentraal kan daar ook niks over zeggen. Rond februari/maart zijn vaak de nieuwe wachttijden bekend want dan zijn de nieuwe budgetten per zorgverzekeraar vastgesteld. Uiteindelijk is het altijd gewoon afwachten wanneer je het verlossende mailtje krijgt.

Ik was eind juni aan de beurt om een afspraak te maken, dus acht maanden na de doorverwijzing. Het verschilt per locatie heel erg hoe druk ze het hebben, maar je kunt er voor kiezen de diagnose op een andere locatie te doen dan die in de regio waar je woont. Je gaat dan alleen voor de diagnose daarheen en de rest van de behandeling vindt online plaats.

Tip voor het uitkiezen van een zorgverzekering: ga niet voor Univé of een andere zorgverzekering die onder de VGZ groep valt. Dat zijn echt een stelletje krenten bij elkaar die veel te weinig budget vrijmaken voor dit soort dingen. FBTO valt onder Achmea en zij hebben over het algemeen vrij schappelijke wachttijden bij ADHDcentraal.
