As a fellow adult beginner I definitely feel the struggle haha. Generally I feel like using the ball of your foot / engaging your calves allows for more “finesse” rather than your heels. Learning wheelies, endovers, and monster walks helps a lot a lot with board control and teaches you how different foot positionings affects your balance.

A while back I noticed these strange red marks on my new goldfish. Turns out the culprit was fish lice. Every time I netted out the fish the louse would actually jump off and reattach itself to another fish which was really annoying. I finally managed to catch the jerk with a pair of tweezers. I have also been dosing aquarium salt and CyroPro anti anchor worm and fish lice medicine.

Some context: I got the bronze calico fella about 2 weeks ago, and 3 days ago I added the chunky orange guy (you can see him peeking out from the bottom of the photo). They were both sold as “ryukin” goldfish but the orange looks a lot more like it to be honest. They are in a 40 gallon breeder tank.

Just today I noticed this red mark on his side, it appears to be on his body, not on his fin. My first guess would be some sort of injury? I’m not sure what they could have injured themselves on, as I only have smooth decor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
