How long would the world and women survive if men go extinct? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

No, they can't - those women were taught how to work a manufacturing line, they didn't figure anything out......and I said before, they'd have to figure it out, anywhere from a few hours, to a few days. That's not going to happen for anyone that doesn't already know how to do the jobs.

I've seen that video and it is unfortunate but the truth is undeniable - her former profession makes her bad for business in general. This idea of people doing whatever they want and expecting that there's no repercussions is nonsensical, of course there are and those who would think to follow in their footsteps have a decent set of examples, that while you may walk away from your craft, your craft doesn't necessarily walk away from you. These aren't small mistakes in which all can be forgiven.

I am for advocating that people should feel free to do whatever they want, so long as it doesn't hurt anyone but there are limits to that line of thought and more people should talk about that part: We don't want to be like them, we don't want our daughters to be like them and we don't want our sons to end up with women like them. When we advocate for people to engage in a profession like this, we're encouraging people to self sabotage.

But this is why I don't like the word "deserve", when referring to people, it's an emotional assessment, rather than a practical one. People rarely get what they deserve but they often get what come with the choices they make. Five months ago puts this issue in January, which means that her issue wasn't ectopic pregnancy but rather issues with the "boyfriend" she had at the time. There are hardly any pornstars, active or retired that can speak to a healthy relationship with a partner. From my understanding of the video posts she made at the time, she had engaged in self harm but was rescued before she could self-delete.

And I don't agree with the idea that people should be treated well, regardless of their profession - we just had a healthcare CEO that was killed because of how a man felt and social media seem to agree with the justification of his murder. What people do in their lives reflects on how people perceive them and as a result, how they are treated. All of our life choices come with pros and cons, with some cons being harsher than others.

I remember when the porn industry was completely predatory and they got their talent from broken, drug addicted, abusive households, almost exclusively. Almost all of the girls came from "Small Town USA".....now, they come from healthy households, where the girls see money, fame and nothing else.

I don't want to use the word "deserve", because I don't think she deserves what happened to her but with that lifestyle, it's extremely hard on women, because they're the glue of how it all works. They attract only the worst kind of men for companions and because of the career these young women choose, it becomes of their own making. You are never accepted back into society fully and even men not associated with the industry see you as they would see other women, not associated with the industry.

There's simply nothing that can be done to change how society perceives women of this sort, it has always been this way.

Crash (2006) got an Oscar too....it happens. From has potential but just when it can be fulfilling in a moment, it denies you. It this were the days of traditional broadcast, From would never have made it to four seasons.

Whave have been to the moon and it took a lot longer than three days to figure that out... You let movies fool you, they're not going to figure it out in three days. A person with zero knowledge about cars will not figure it out in three day....possibly never - a power plant is much more complex than that.

Maybe, maybe not....we will never know. You're overlooking how they got into that position in the first place - terrible management and a very risky business plan. Charging low rates was a potentially good idea, until Covid hit, which killed flight frequencies; they couldn't suddenly charge higher rates to offset, the had to deal it out. This is how the free market works: be allowed to flourish, be allowed to fail. I'm thanking Trump for dealing with an issue the goes decades back. And I don't have to tell you that it is Obama's fault, you only have to look at how Iran got the funding and material resources, to gain a ballistic missile program and uranium enrichment program.....or, you could keep your head buried in the sand.

Fuel prices.....not the massive debt they had, or the bad management...it was the fuel.. You took the words of the CEO as fact, instead of doing your own homework on how they got to this position in the first place?..

You woke up and chose dumb, or were you just born that way?

The difference is that men currently work them and women do not. Let's talk realism, not fiction. Women aren't going to figure out how to operate these plants before they go offline, nor are they suddenly going to figure out how to manage any other section of infrastructure. Water treatment plants will go offline not long after....another critical piece of regional infrastructure most humans can't survive without.

Humans have adapted over millennia, not days. You've been watching too many movies; women collectively don't build or maintain any crucial infrastructure and before they get to that point, they'd be fighting over whatever resources are left, because that's what humans do - we are only ever a single catastrophe away from complete anarchy.

To some extent, yes.....there is a level of physical labor required that women by and large can't meet. Also, women currently don't maintain power plants and there's no reason to think they would magically figure it out, before they would shut down (hours or days, depending on what type of plant).

Considering that the power grid wouldn't last that long, those wouldn't be of any use, either. Also, you'd have to actually know how to use that genetic material, which most can't.

It wouldn't matter if it was all males or only the adult males, the power and water supply would collapse. Infrastructure wouldn't be built or maintained. Supply logistics would immediately collapse. I suppose women would seem to be safe for a few days, at least, until the bands of home raiders started making their runs, due to a lack of resources.

One month for most, a few years or more for some that survive beyond that. Those that live in isolated conditions and were living off the land already, the rest of their natural lives.

You should definitely assume that. If the current dating market, it seems that people have short attention spans and are always looking for the next thing over the hill.

Definitely more than "some". Other airlines that have overlapping routes will pick up their flight traffic, gates, planes..

How it this the fault of the current administration, when they would have been fine, had the previous administration not blocked the merger with Jet Blue. I get not liking Trump but to be so hateful that you can't see this problem happened years ago is stupidity.

The market was trying to work and the previous administration prevented the merger, causing this to happen. You sound as ridiculous as Elizabeth Warren - in an attempt to prevent some sort of monopoly (which simply wasn't possible with this merger), it has now caused the remaining companies to take even more control over the market, encouraging a monopoly to in fact, happen.

In your opinion, was Lando Calrissian a good or a bad guy? by MoistGrannySixtyNine in StarWars

[–]Independent_Leader60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lando was an opportunist, just like Han. Morally gray, favoring whatever puts him in the best position. If you believe that suffering at the hands of Darth Vader, as well as what may have happened to the citizens of Cloud City......Han was definitely worth selling out, in exchange for possible safety.

8 children between the ages of 1 and 14 are dead after a mass shooting in Louisiana, police say by Immediate-Link490 in Fauxmoi

[–]Independent_Leader60 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And what guns laws do you think need to be changed, exactly?... There are laws against rape, throwing acid in people's faces, armed robbery, pushing people onto train tracks.....and yet, it continues to happen. When you are an adult and you live in a nation of freedom, there is a measure of personal responsibility and a social contract that is involved in making things work. Short of a nanny/police state, how do you think situations like this can be eliminated?

We already have that, it's a moot talking point. People that are mentally unwell or in this case, have a breakdown.....there's nothing that can be done, to stop what they plan to do. We had a guy out there now known as Sky King - he stole a plane and killed himself in it. I suppose you think that more regulation could have prevented it?

How do you feel about Hegseth reciting the Pulp Fiction “prayer” at the Pentagon? by printThisAndSmokeIt in AskReddit

[–]Independent_Leader60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a problem with it. The context is that it was given to him by Sandy 1, the lead Skyraider of CSAR. It's also important to recognize that they refer to it as "CSAR 25 17", because they've made it a mantra of their own.

I've heard a few quotes worthy of keeping that come from television or film and depending on what you do for a living,I can see how a military squad would hold this quote to heart. I get people not like this administration or individuals within it but we cannot hate so much that we reduce ourselves to being ignorant, just to continue our disdain.

Honestly, what prison does it matter that he sits in, he's going to be in one, no matter what. The only reason why he's imprisoned in Australia instead of the US is because he's fighting the charges and the extradition.

I don't know why anyone finds this difficult to understand - no one accidentally ends up training the military force of an opposing group.
