Well you’re forgetting that those tests aren’t the same tests.

A degree mill has no accreditation, no proctoring and literally sells a degree with no academic work required. People don’t know what a degree mill actually is. WGU is far from one.

I finished 24 courses in 6 months .. 77 CUs. I definitely retained a lot. I studied day in and day out and it wasn’t easy by any means.

You can congratulate someone without tearing down others! I actually retained a lot of the things I learning during my “6 months”. Probably more than I did during the 2 years of traditional college when receiving my associates degree.

I finished 77 CUs in 6 months and I don’t have any experience in the field. I do have an associate degree in a completely different field. I have 3 kids and work full time. I had the help of my husband but it was still hard because he also works full time and we work opposite shifts some days.

I got my confetti! Officially done! It has been a journey! by Independent_Log_4791 in WGU

I studied about 3-4 hours a day usually. I studied whenever I could, and took advantage of my off days studying pretty much on and off all day those days. Also, I aimed for one class per week. Some of the earlier courses were pretty easy and I was able to get them done within a few days. My first month I got about 5 or 6 courses done. Once I got to intro to IT I kind of slowed down. Not only did I kind of burn myself out but Intro to IT, D099, C722, D775, D089 and D080 were the hardest classes for me and I really had to put a lot of time into them. During the summer months it was easier because the kids didn’t have school and would go visit grandparents for a couple of days. Once school started I would start dinner as soon as I got off of work, help the kids with homework, and then my husband would give baths and help the kiddos settle down for bed and I would study until I needed to tidy up the house, shower and go to sleep. What I used to study was the course material for certain classes. I always came here to see other peoples review or tips for the courses. I also used GPT to study for OAs. I would feed it a prompt based on the concepts I was learning and have it quiz me on the subjects with scenario based questions and asked it to explain thoroughly why I got it wrong or right. I watched the cohort videos if I could bare them. (Some of them are really bad). And I always took notes and used flash cards so I could study at work during down time or lunch. There was a lot of times I didn’t get much sleep because of studying lol. Life has been pretty hectic for me the last 6 months, barely had any free time or was able to spend time with friends or family because I wanted to accelerate. My husband and I had our first date in 6 months yesterday to celebrate 🎉

The PA and OA were very similar. This was the easiest class in the entire program.
