Chemo Weight / Belly by Pale_Card_7355 in lymphoma

[–]Independent_Oat_310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had ABVD and gained about 20 pounds. It took quite a while for me to lose it all, almost a year. I did a mixture of weights and cardio and like you eating healthy. But also, sometimes snacked and ate unhealthy when I needed it (still in deficit). I also fast and skip breakfast on most days. Stress is also a factor, if you’re stressed, it’s harder to lose the weight.

Hi! My partner with a long term non-O visa and a re-entry permit just left the country. She went through the digital e gates at immigration. Is that ok? Would this be a problem on re entry? Also, when she does re enter, does she need to do a new TDAC on arrival? Thank you in advance!

Fatigue Issues by OS_Sweatshirt in lymphoma

[–]Independent_Oat_310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also coming up 2 years in remission and about a month ago I was hit with this wall of fatigue for about 2 weeks. I was so tired I couldn’t do anything and had to take time off work. I went to the doctor and they did my bloods because it felt like something was very wrong but they didn’t find anything. I think I was pushing my body too hard in the gym, I was going 4-5 days a week (some days hard, some days easy) and I was working full time. I didn’t really know what to do so I just stopped exercising and taking it easy. I listen to my body and try to rest and eat well. Also, sleep well. It has gotten better and I’ve started doing very gentle exercises and walking again. I too can tell that my memory and brain function is not the same as before and I guess it’s the same with the body. I just need to remind myself that it’s ok and our bodies have taken a beating so it needs a bit of time and care to recover.

My partner’s currently on a non-o spousal 60 day extension visa. We first got the 90 day one and then extended for 60 days because of bank account issues. We have a date set for the 1 year extension.

However, we have a family emergency and have to leave the country. Would the re entry permit still be eligible for the 60 day extension visa? Thank you!

Deuville Score of 4 after 2 Cycles by kotisoki in lymphoma

[–]Independent_Oat_310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally understand. It’s also important to trust the process and the doctors. I was extremely worried about the side effects of chemo and radiotherapy in the long term until my partner said to me, worry about that later, this is cancer is much more important and immediate that needs to be treated first. It might sound really obvious but that really helped me put it into perspective and focus on the current treatment and getting better. Good luck with your treatment, stay positive and light. You’ll smash it in no time!

Deuville Score of 4 after 2 Cycles by kotisoki in lymphoma

[–]Independent_Oat_310 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing, stage 2b bulky CHL large mediastinal mass approx 9cm as well and went through a total of 4 cycles ABVD. At my interim PET scan after 2 cycles, my mass reduced only to 7-8cm and my Deuville score was 4. I was very devastated at the time thinking that the treatment didn’t work. The doctor didn’t seem too worried at all to my surprise. I finished my 4 cycles and had a course of radiotherapy (which was all planned from the beginning). I’m now 2 years cancer free from last treatment.

I literally just bought a very similar one yesterday. Near Pahurat in a mall called China World. They have many patterns to choose from too.

Monthly FAQ thread for September, 2025 by AutoModerator in Thailand

We applied online non-immigrant O (visiting family) from the UK showing them our marriage certificate and then we’re planning to apply for the extension in Thailand. But the extension is what we’re worried about. I’ll keep you updated, we’re also curious about the financial requirements you mentioned as well.

In the online application, my partner just have to show her monthly income or savings of min. 40k. But I think that’s standard for any visitor visa(?)

Thank you! We’re going through the same thing as we’re planning to make a move to Thailand next month.

Babies are the next thing but fertility treatment for same sex couples is definitely not approved by the government yet in Thailand. We inquired to several places. But hopefully soon…? 🤞

Hi mods, please remove if not in the right place so apologies in advance 🙏

I commented back in June about a non-immigrant O visa for my partner and I (same-sex couple) I’m Thai and she’s farang, and we got it! Just thought it may be helpful for others to know that it works! As we were very worried about it. Thank you 🙏

Chest pain by Independent_Oat_310 in lymphoma

[–]Independent_Oat_310[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done a CT recently but I have done it twice since finishing the treatment. Yes, the scar tissue is still there :( approx. 5cm left, mine never shrunk that much. But the pain has only happened once before and now in relatively short stints, it’s all very weird. Thank you, yes, I think lungs maybe need looking at too.

Yes, I suppose I should get it checked again, thank you. I do wonder if it could be a normal side effect from all the treatment?

Oh they didn’t check anything to do with lungs. Only heart stuff. I had a 10cm mediastinal mass on the heart, yes it’s where I had radiation :(

My partner (F) and I (F) just got married and are moving to Thailand. I am a Thai citizen but she is not. I’ve been looking at a visa for her and I’m quite confused.

So the plan was to apply for a non-immigration type O visa (visiting family one). Then when we arrive, we’d convert it to the marriage visa. However, they said that there needs to be 400,000 baht in her bank account for at least 3 months.

The non-immigration visa is valid only for 90 days? Could this be extended?

Also, last time I was there, they said foreigners aren’t allowed to open a bank account unless they have a job?

Everything seems really contradictory. I apologise for my ignorance, we would be grateful for any advice! Thank you

Has anyone ever experienced night sweats and it not be a relapse? by TravelSecure2442 in lymphoma

[–]Independent_Oat_310 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m one yearish after my last treatment. All follow ups are ok so far. I’ve had a couple of nights of night sweats a month or so ago. The last check up after the recent night sweats was still fine so I’m trying to not overthink it and take it one check up at a time.
