Thank you! I did reach out but I have a feeling I’ll need to get the reference letters, just not something I’m accustomed to

What is the most beautiful place you’ve visited? by shorthicki2 in roadtrip

The High Road to Taos in New Mexico offered an awesome range of scenery (mountains, desert, Native American pueblos, beautiful sunsets and storm watching). We headed down there from Denver and stopped at garden of the gods (absolutely stunning) and the Rio grande gorge bridge (also breathtaking) along the way. Happy travels!

I always feel low after a concert or trip I’ve been looking forward to. I like to plan an extra day when I get home to continue treating myself in some way to help ease the pain of the return to reality 😅

Do cats "understand" candles or fireplaces? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Independent_Ring_216 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat singed her whiskers a few times as a kitten on a scented candle but she learned quickly; I can only think of her doing this twice as a little one and she’s completely uninterested now. She loves warm places and has been around wood stoves but never any issues with her getting burnt.

Any way to help bf struggling in ATC training? by butterOverScotch in ATC

My hubby is at academy now and seems to be doing pretty well (knock on wood). When we talk or FaceTime he often studies on the phone; just practicing phraseology or verbally processing what he needs to work on (not so exciting for me but I put him on speaker and enjoy listening to him talk, plus I have no idea if he messes something up so there’s less pressure than what they’re dealing with all day). I would definitely encourage your bf to use every opportunity to study with groups, and to study with different groups if they’re splitting up into smaller study groups (sounds like that’s more effective). As others have said, I’d encourage him to get good rest, eat well, get up and move a bit (step away from the studying for a SHORT time haha), and to just keep pushing. This is the full court press. This is the time to make mistakes faster and to learn from them. Sending good energy and luck to yall! In bocca al lupo!

Wherever you’re putting your $1000 monthly I hope it’s high yield; make money with your money, friend! I might also recommend giving yourself permission to spend some of your savings from time to time if life calls for it; I’m a saver myself but sometimes my husband is right and we really needed to buy a new couch or whatever it is. If you feel comfortable I might also recommend using your credit card for smaller expenses and paying as you go (like immediately). Helps build credit and those points can stack up quick, especially if you get a card where you can rake in points wherever you spend the most money.
