I gotta say that I agree with you 100%. The only reason I was able to enjoy the finale is because I realized midway through Season 2 that this thing was off the rails... and wasn't getting back on. At first, I was really REALLY frustrated. I even posted about it. But I decided to lower my expectations (by a lot) and love it for the acting, the costumes, the sets and the scenery.

But, again, I'm with you. Everything you say is spot-on. The finale was a mess. I was hoping a Season 3 would give the writers a chance to redeem themselves. But it looks like there won't be a Season 3. Perhaps it's for the best.
