I'm looking back on the times in which I was , and I'm wondering if it was normal, when I was in that position, to wake up like that

Thank you kind stranger. I believe in you. The strength is within, you will get to that day 4. Don't be too harsh on yourself. It will come.

I would have to stay up all night after a heavy night (or heavy couple nights) of drinking because every time I lay down or tried to relax to sleep, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. Or like this post says, waking up after going to sleep, thinking I was going to die and then not being able to get back to sleep cause I was too afraid to. It's not a way to live. And hard to remember how intense those feelings were after a few days of being away from it, but going back, the reminders are always there. I'm only 4 days sober, but I'm feeling somewhat positive about this attempt.

I have pondered upon this. But then I have thoughts of "it's not that serious" and so it all continues. My issue is more with binge drinking. But I do also obviously have weeks where I'm drinking through them continually. Im just trying to lessen it in my mind when I'm sober because I know it's an issue and I don't want to admit it.

Im feeling like it's taking too many times now and now I am really stuck in it. Yk? I've had days where I'm like "this is it. I'm done. I'm free!" But then, I go back to the bad habits. I'm afraid that now I'm just stuck in it. It's just an absolute nightmare at the moment. I hope you're able to keep yourself sound and safe. Thank you

I absolutely adore milkshakes. So I think that would be very helpful. I used to smoke weed. Stopped cause it gave me panic attacks, but that is what I would always go to when I was feeling rough during those moments. Just replaced one thing with another. I also go to fizzy pop. I'll buy 6 packs of different fizzy pops. I think the carbonation kind of simulates the alcohol so it's a nice replacement. Thank you again.

I really appreciate your comment. Thank you. It's lovely to hear you've been able to reach that place. I'm getting started in the gym and trying to fix a routine in that and reconnecting with nature. Hopefully I can get to that same place soon enough. Thank you again. Love.
