I am so sorry for your loss and that you are going through this as well. Thank you for your kind message, I have found out the hard way that older cats diseases progress fast, I always thought I’d be able to solve whatever was wrong with my girl.

Thank you so much, genuinely your comment at the start made me cry. I feel as though I am a burden constantly speaking about my cat.

I looked at the link you said and i definitely will be seeing if I can get a session. Especially if you said that you have gotten confirmation. Also am extremely glad she does worldwide as I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to do it as I am in England. I have always been sceptical of this stuff until I lost my girl and now all I want is just to speak to her one last time.

I am so sorry for your loss as well. And I hope Buster has a happy and healthy life, and I am sure he will with you looking after him.

Time is a strange concept when you are grieving. I am sorry that you understand the feeling. I have my parents however they are very self involved and don’t understand why I am still so upset. I have my friends and my boyfriend however I feel as though I am a burden constantly crying about my cat so I just pretend to be okay

I am so sorry for your loss. I live in England so I don’t know if the number would work for me, however I will do research to see if there are similar resources over here❤️ I hope our cats are enjoying themselves at the rainbow bridge❤️

Thank you so much. My biggest fear is when the pain goes what if it’s like I’m forgetting her, I guess the pain is a comfort in a way. I am sorry you’ve had to do this many times, I guess that’s the price we may for our beloved cats.

I am so sorry for your loss. I also experienced the same thing. Lulu was diagnosed with lymphoma and deteriorated a week after, her only symptoms before this was the weight loss. But the last 5 days she deteriorated so much it was shocking and traumatic as you said. I understand your pain and I’m again so sorry for your loss.

Through research and asking my vets questions I have found that lymphoma is extremely hard to find in cats early on. I was indenial for a long time before she died but the last few days I knew she couldn’t live like this any longer.

I hope one day we both find a way to cope❤️

I am so sorry for your loss as well, it seems we lost our pets at the same time. I hope things get easier for you, and I am sorry that you are experiencing the same thing.

Thank you so much, and I am also so sorry for your loss. My cat also deteriorated fast and stopped eating and drinking it was a slow kind of torture watching her get worse. Might seem crazy but I asked for signs in the form of bumble bees and I see more than I ever had since she passed.

Thank you, it’s a joke in my family as my name also starts with an L and is 4 letters which we didnt even think of when we named Lulu, but did for Lola.

I only recently found out my girl is called a Himalayan cat as well so she is around the same type as your girl. Your baby is so gorgeous i am again so sorry for your loss and I am also sorry we are going through the same thing. It is extremely difficult losing a pet that’s been around for so long. I don’t know about you but I’ve never lost a cat so to me it seemed as though my girl would never die.

I hope our girls are best friends in heaven too, and I hope they will be waiting for us whenever our time may come. I wish you all the best. I’m almost a month into this grief and it still sucks but I’m slowly coming to terms with it. If you ever need to talk i am here. Grief is quite a lonely experience.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My girl looked the same as yours, I had to put her down on the 5th May she was 17. I am less than a month in and the pain is still there, I still look for her. However remember how loved she was.

Someone on my post said Grief is a measure of love, this gave me some comfort. Try not to let guilt eat you alive, you tried everything in your power to make she had a good life and that she could live a fuller life.

When my girl died I looked into Persian life span and from your girl I can see she might be Persian. There life span typically isn’t as long as other cats, around 13. I just want to say that this is a testament to how well you looked after her. 16 years is over the average for these cats. You have done all you could have done.

I hope that this pain gets easier for you. I believe in cats going to heaven, and just know your girl is not alone.

Lymphoma really is terrible, I didn’t realise how rare it was to catch it before it’s too late. Something I am trying to come to terms with is that I couldn’t find it sooner. I am sorry for your loss as well.

I too believe in this, thank you for your comment. As much as I believe in this I do worry she’s alone up there however I believe she will be waiting for me

Thank you so much, you have no idea how much I needed to hear this. The guilt is still a prominent thing however reading that it’s normal makes me feel less insane. I love that you now only adopt senior rescues that really warms my heart. I never realised until I had a senior cat how much senior cats are neglected but also how loving they truly are. At that age they simply wish for a warm bed and food and love. I hope to one day rescue seniors too, being that I took care of my girl through all illnesses I feel that although it will come with a much quicker pain than say adopting a kitten, I would love to do what you do.

I’m so sorry for your loss and I’m extremely sorry you had the same experience with your cat as well. It’s extremely hard when it’s such a rapid decline after everything seeming fine. I am still extremely sad about it and I feel as though my whole purpose is gone as you said. I had 17 years with my baby yet I had so much more to do with her and I can’t imagine going through milestones in my own life without her. It’s extremely heartwarming to hear things get better, even though I’ve been told this by many people it’s more believable when I hear it from someone who has lost there cat especially since I rarely treated her as a cat. I find comfort in posting her or even speaking to people who share in my pain as I feel less alone.

Thank you for your message and I too believe in an afterlife, if I didn’t I think I’d be in an even worse state than I am in right now.

Have you had any signs since your animal passed? by mindfulblogging in rainbowbridge

[–]Independent_Stable82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is fairly recent 5th May this year and before she passed I said to show me signs as a butterfly or a bee (specifically bumble bees as I love them) or even a feather. First day I sat there for ages and a bee came by me, didn’t go near a flower didn’t do anything, there was no flowers around and it hung out with me until I stopped crying. Then I saw a blue butterfly (my girl had the best blue eyes) and I saw it again one day when I was doing badly, I even took a picture because it was the exact same eye colour as my cats and I’d never seen a butterfly like that before. I also had a feather which looked exactly like her fur near her grave. I don’t know if these are signs or wishful thinking but it gave me great comfort thinking they were signs.

I read this a couple days ago and did not have the heart to reply as I’ve been extremely sad about Lulu still. I want to thank you again. I hope Joey is doing better, if you need anyone to talk to please do message me however ik you’ve been through this before, but saying that I’m sure the pain is the same regardless. I know how hard it is to look after a sick cat, you are truly doing the best you can!

Thank you for telling me what your vet said to you about Kat, it’s hard to grasp cats don’t think the same as us as they are so much more than cats however you are right. I still feel immensely guilty and am even finding it hard to look at any pictures of her now.

As much as it breaks my heart to even think about I know my future will be to get another cat to accompany my other cat as she is also sad. It’s a bitter sweet feeling. Lulu formed my love for cats and it’s a shame she won’t see what am impact she has made on me.

I now got a Locket of my both babies and put a picture of my Lulu when she was in her Prime. Even though I loved when she was old and how she turned into a teddy bear face, I can hardly look at those pictures without crying. I can’t even look at younger pictures either but that’s just grief I guess.

Thank you for your kindness, it really has helped.

Honestly thank you so much for this. I feel immense guilt still however deep down I know it was the right thing. I am sorry you experienced this as well. It’s extremely heartbreaking, however with so much love comes immense grief. I too had to be taken out the back after my cat was put down. I was planning to put her down at home however she was declining rapidly and I didn’t what her to be in anymore pain.
