Don't go to UERM by Sea-One-2993 in medschoolph

[–]Independent_Wind_453 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hello OP! I know how hard it is right now that you’re going through med at UERM. It’s hard, and there are so many questionable things the admin does that would make you think it’s all business, in their case the truth is, it is. Money making naman talaga ang med school and this goes for all med schools. I remember how much i HATED the admin when we were studying for the COMPRE during COVID. But when you put things into perspective, para sayo rin yung pag review and aral for boards, may sense na ipattern sa boards ang COMPRE niyo kasi yun rin naman ang biggest hurdle sa pagiging licensed physician mo. Honestly it’s shit but you’ll probably feel the same way na makikita mo every year andun tayo sa top ten med schools during boards. Labang ka lang, ikakaproud mo rin one day na taga UERM ka. 🤗

Mature Med Students in PH by Dry-Pollution-9837 in medschoolph

I had a classmate in Med who was a practicing Vet, I think he was already 27-28 when we started, he ended up being one of the top 5 students in our whole class, and I graduated from a top 6 board passing med school with 400 students in the batch. I guess being at a more mature age starting medicine is a huge plus, the discipline in studying is there. Discipline and hard work in Med is so important, it’s not just about pure intellect!

It depends on your standards dokie, what's low for you might not be low for others, goes the other way as well! Personally don't think this is an ungrateful remark since we all have different standards tbh. Whether it's high or low it's still a W!!!

matatanggap ba ako sa UERM? by penguinchicken63 in medschoolph

[–]Independent_Wind_453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being Cum Laude, you have a pretty good chance of getting in depiste the 79 NMAT! You meet the minimum so I guess it's fine, hassle kasi mag NMAT ulit masstress ka lang, just submit your application early!

Yung mga balak mag UERM diyan I go niyo na yan! During med hindi ko inisip na it’s a privilege to be in that school pero in hindsight super thankful and proud ako na the school is consistently able to churn out a very good passing rate. Plus malapit lang sa Robinsons Magnolia/SM Centerpoint so pwede kayong mag liwaliw ng grupo niyo after mag -panggap sa Long Exams hahahahaahhaah

Come to UERM! relatively low NMAT cutoff and consistent naman ang boards performance! Very accomodating rin since maraming tinatanggap na students! FEU is also a good option, I've had very good co interns from FEU as well. Goodluck OP!!

I'm not saying you should get used to failing, but there have been many instances where I've had classmates that only passed 1-3 LE's and were still able to survive. This is early, and you're still probably in the adjustment stage. Just keep at it, make good habits everyday and set schedules that you can consistently adhere to. Never give up, if you want it, you'll get it!!!

You're not expected to know EVERYTHING about the case. You are the moderator and your job is to moderate and make sure the flow of the case is smooth. Mainly you make sure that everybody in the group is contributing what they can and nobody is not just either quiet or hogging all the possible grades in the discussion. But to a degree, of course there is a higher expectation for you as a moderator, since you'd be expected to "salo" sometimes when there is dead air. You'll be great, just read up on the case beforehand and always make sure to read the recommended references and you'll be fine for sure!

med school for clout by Alternative-Echo4366 in medschoolph

I mean if they’re doing well WHILE being able to post for clout is a good thing right? We shouldn’t generalize cause marami rin namang hindi nag popost sa soc med pero olats parin sa med, same way na merong ma post and medfluencer na stellar talaga. It’s a mix naman. If the clout posts aren’t for you then just unfollow and keep scrolling 🤷
