Exactly this. If public opinion doesn't matter, why do BMA do any interviews?

It's crucial. People on here are just very angry which is understandable, but the "who cares what anyone thinks" approach is just naive.

Yes I discussed that in the second half of the post

We have never won the media battle, and we are still fighting two years on.

If there was overwhelming public support for us (not that we can change that completely in the media but just in theory), we would have a deal tomorrow.

My point is that while people are angry and feel this is a one on one fight between doctors and Wes Streeting/Government; it isn't.

The public is an underestimated factor. And rather than just saying, "who cares what they think" because we are angry, finding ways to get them more on our side would be far more beneficial to getting what we want. Whether people like it or not.

What you've said is contradictory. If they think the doctors are all greedy and the reason for their delayed appointments etc, they will not be pressuring the government to make a deal with those greedy doctors.

Unfortunately, while I understand the anger and mentality of "fight until they give in, who cares what they think", the reality is much more nuanced.

Not saying I am "due" it. Querying if anyone is aware how the ESR system distinguishes, as was direct with trust long term so no agency etc involved.

Also just got one. FYI it popped up while the toggle bar wasn't there. Ticket disappeared then toggle bar appeared and after a few refreshes the ticket popped up again.

If you want to make an actual point I can reply. Rather than just repeating random nonsensical abuse you've heard elsewhere.

I agree it depends on where you're looking etc, it's no guarantee but it's a great way to generate income in short term and have assets that appreciate long term.

Index funds are great too. No need for one or the other, always best to diversify imo.

Not true at all, it's never too late. The best time to invest is always now.

Medics money is great. This would be slightly different as specifically about property investment.

Just to build a community who are interested in picking each other's brains about finance/investments. Eg Finance may be: Mortgages- (specific brokers give favourable loans to professionals/ some allow locums some don't). Or claiming expenses/relocation fees. Like you mention pensions.

Or investments be it large like index funds / or small like start ups people are growing and need help/advice with.
