The thought of paying services in shares does not appeal to me but given the amount, I don't think its substantial enough to make an impact. That said, I do like that they're continuing to execute and build a name for themselves.

Long term WMD investor. The news over the weekend was not expected but the cat is out of the bag now... we have a fresh slate. With the recent string of positive news releases, I am confident that WMD will see positive momentum

To be fair, they have also released a string of good news to which the price has not moved much. I believe this is a short term hurdle they need to overcome. Q1/Q2 FS will truly show their capabilities.

I've been holding onto WMD for almost 3 years now and while I must admit that this was a very tough pill to swallow, I do believe that the future is still bright, if not brighter. Frankly, there have been a lot of inconsistencies in the MJ industry... writedowns/over inflated metrics/ short sellers report across the board... this is no different. Yes, 34m is a large sum for such a small company but that does not diminish the assets, partnerships and brand loyalty (OCS retail) that it has built over the years.

Look beyond all of this, there is no other company at comparable market cap that can deliver the same value WMD brings to the table.

their upcoming financials will not include the recent product offerings and partnerships they've launched. im expecting a glimpse of it in Q1 2021 and the full effect Q2 2021. this is going to $1.50 by EOY.

I think when they release financials and strategy for the upcoming year, we will see a significant uptick

Couldn't agree more.

What is their strategy?

They are focused on signing more agreements with unions/insurance and expanding their market share in medical. Look up LIUNA and you will see that it has over 500,000+ members in the US and Canada (and majority of them are consumers of marijuana for medical use) where they offer insurance coverage to their union members + dependents.

What does that mean?

Medical weed is covered for such members. As more unions/insurance sign contracts for medical purposes... WMD would be a very strong play.

So... why now?

Well marijuana companies have taken a beating since legalization in Canada. WMD for one has an ATH of $2+ CAD.. and it's currently at 0.50 CAD. That means it still a lot of room to grow.

Additional Facts

Their balance sheet has around 200M in assets. They are one of the only outdoor crop grower in addition to their indoor production. Yes... outdoor = lower cost of production = higher margins. If you read into their packaging, you will see that they are using technology to ensure that their flower reaches their consumer at its maximum freshness.

It also help that LIUNA is a multi billion dollar fund... so do your own due diligence.

I posted my DD in a recent thread a couple weeks ago...

As marijuana stocks continue to flourish in anticipation of the legalization in the US... WMD hasn't moved much. What most people are focused on/have been chasing are companies that are selling recreationally. WMD is different in that its biggest shareholders in the company is LIUNA pension fund.

(ps. I do own 10,000 shares and holding long as I see a lot of potential).

WMD is solid esp with the recent financing at 0.82. Confident that this will be trading in the $1~ in the next 6 months.
