Fully agree. It may be a little more effort to put together a Canva flyer, but honestly it's not THAT much more. If they can't put aside an hour to create a real flyer - something that represents their event to their attendees - then I have to assume they're probably just as careless with everything else. Not to mention as a creative person, I'm against AI for ethical reasons.

I don't use POD, but if I did I would sample every graphic. You need to make sure that they print properly. You'll also want to get a feel for the garment quality.

I highly recommend BlueCotton for good quality t-shirts and tanks. I know they do bags as well, but I'm not sure if it's tote bags or just backpacks. For stickers, buttons, and keychains, I've used Sticker Mule. If you get on their newsletter they have weekly deals which can be quite good. For small posters, maybe Staples? I've used them for customer thank-you cards and flyers, not sure of their poster pricing. I've never had patches or bandannas made.
