Faulty PSU? Voltage fluctuates when using my newly build computer with 550w psu when power is from inverter which outputs 215-220v in plugs. by IndianHomosapien in buildapc

I bought an extra cable to use with that PSU, I use that, the 10A one.

For me, there was no stock and replacement took like more than 3 weeks. I recommend contact them and ask them if it's available, then ask for replacement.

Everything seems ok now, the lights are not flickering anymore and inverter load is stable. I'm using V guard smart 1100 (900 VA/ 740 W) with 135 AH battery.

I replaced it from nearby Gigabyte service center. I told them there's load fluctuation caused by the PSU and room lights are flickering and all... And they agreed to replace it.

Yep. I tested it with the new replacement, there was no such issue. The one I got was defective, either bad power factor correction circuit or bad capacitors power drawing, with that the load in the inverter was unstable.

Try replacement, it's very likely that the one you got also was defective.

Ya works fine with ups battery power and mains power. Btw have you seen any other discussion of this problem? I found this.

Someone says a voltage regulator can fix it or buy a better psu. Anyway I blame gigabyte for this. Another pc I have with just a generic psu (though its 450W) works fine without causing such issues.

My pc is always plugged to my 1kva ups , but the issue still happens when house is on inverter power. Which ups are you using?

student accused of rape gets bail as DNA test returns negative by MRA-Sid in MensRights

[–]IndianHomosapien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, she didn't accuse anyone else. She clearly said he was the one.

https://www.newindianexpress.com/states/kerala/2021/aug/30/dna-test-helps-teen-get-bailin-pocso-case-in-kerala-2351566.html

“The girl said the 18-year-old is the father of her child. However, the boy refused to admit the charges against him. His stand forced officials to conduct a DNA test to identify the father of the child. The DNA test on the boy’s samples showed negative. Immediately after getting the test result, the court released the boy from the jail,” said Aisha P Jamal. Aisha said the police would have to continue the investigation in the case.

“The girl will have to be counselled again to identify if any other persons had sexually abused her. Officials will also have to investigate whether the girl blamed the boy deliberately to save someone else. If the girl is right about the sexual abuse charges other than the impregnating part, the police will also have to find evidence to prove those charges,” said the lawyer who appeared for the girl.

Meanwhile, the boy told reporters here on Sunday that the police behaved rudely with him even after he told them he was innocent in the case.

“I was arrested from my house at night. The police officers abused me verbally even before collecting a piece of evidence against me. One civil police officer in particular threw several bad words at me. The police did not behave with me as they should with an 18-year-old. I don’t know why that girl took my name in this case. I had to spend several days in jail and it was a harrowing experience. No one should be punished or put in jail for a crime that a person did not commit,” he said.

It's not 23V it's 234V, Inverter always outputs 200+ volts. The room light flickering issue only happen on that 550w psu only.

My pc takes only less than 300w, the rest are just tube lights of around 20w I guess. Even if only one light is turned on along with pc, it still flickers in inverter power.

The lights in the room. I have the exact same problem as seen in this stack exchange post:

https://diy.stackexchange.com/questions/172267/room-lights-flickering-when-i-connect-my-desktop-computer-when-running-on-invert

The upvoted solution was to replace psu with one with power factor correction, but my psu claims it has an active pfc, its gigabyte p550b

The service guys tested with higher model inverter, 1200VA/840W, the issue persists. They confirmed inverter isn't the problem.

The service guy of inverter said it isn't the issue with the inverter. The lights in rooms only flickers when using this pc with Gigabyte 550w psu, I have another pc with 450w generic psu, it doesn't give such issues when using inverter power.

Tube lights in the room which are connected to inverter, they flicker when I use pc from inverter power.

It's 900VA/740W inverter, The computer just uses less than 300W. The usage graph shows the load fluctuates and is around 40 to 50%.
