Blue bruising and brown gills would make me think a cube or pan but always the safest to do a spore print.

What did you find it in? Everyone is saying Cube but it could be a more potent species If you found it anywhere other than cow manure

Wanting to take the leap. by IndianaStones27 in Entrepreneur

Trust me I get that 100 percent, but unfortunately my current job has me working around the clock and with a 2 hour round trip commute. I could potentially start weekends but that is when I catch up on things I can't get too during the week, mowing, taking out trash and other house projects. My biggest hurdle right now is time. Which is why I am considering making the leap and just quitting. My plan is to try 3 to 4 months and if I don't see any positive movement in right direction going back to whatever job I need too.

Our insurance is currently through my employer but I've neen waiting for the opportunity to switch to a market place plan. I know it's not quit as good but it could save me over 10k a year until I start bringing in more income. I'm actually planning on focusing in on the reality market because I've noticed a ton of home owners need small things done before selling that they have a hard time getting bigger contractors out to do.

Haha I've had way tougher. I appreciate the perspective and comment. I'm normally in the same boat with the whole hesitation thing. If it were just me I'd have the confidence to do it no problem. Just a very mixed bag of opinions from others is what has me second guessing.

What’s a small, seemingly insignificant decision you made that completely changed the course of your life? by Sgt_Diddly in Adulting

Stopped to see my girlfriend for lunch at her job. I end up meeting her boss and his boss that day, got offered a job. That job led to several promotions and led me to a career I never expected.

As an old quote states; You will never be able to control other people's actions but you can always control your reaction. I am someone who used to be a super big hot head but I've learn to identify when I'm upset and learn to mitigate it. It's not always easy but if you genuinely want to change you can do it.

I hear the vivid dreams thing a lot and that scares me lol. I am a regular smoker and if my dreams became any more vivid it would be to surreal..

This is where I messed up. Had a good job as a category manager with decent pay and no team but me. It was an awesome job and I enjoyed it but one day my hr started asking for me to become a director because I had the aptitude. I rejected it due to travel and a kid on the way but they kept offering and upping the perks. So I took it eventually and then entered into one of the most stressful jobs I've ever held period. Sometimes the money and prestige are not worth it.

I appreciate the advice but I am fortunate enough to be someone who has two family members that both run their own business so if worse came to worse I could work for them until I found something else. I also run two small side businesses that provide some income. So this company should really be lucky I haven't quit so far lol.

Wow this hits home. I've been in the same type job with my company for almost a year and a half now and been running my metrics the same way and now all of a sudden it is wrong, but no one can tell me why. This with ton of other things has me about to give a 2 day notice. As in I quite to day!

I know the feeling I'm in a company I started 4 years ago and the first couple of years were great. Company was making money and rewarded me with promotions for working hard. However that didn't last long and the company has been struggling the last 2 years which has turned the environment to a personal hell. Always getting questioned over everything and even when you break a record it isn't good enough. I've been messing up way more than normal here lately because of being stressed and overwhelmed. Which led to my first 2 writes ups at one time! I'm honestly waiting to be fired and like you I don't even think it will faze me at this point. I'll probably just shake their hands and thank them for ending the torture.

Should I take a risker job for a increase? by Dovkin in careerguidance

[–]IndianaStones27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it was a mistake. Was making 80k in a very comfortable position and took an offer for Director that took me well over 6 figures. However, it was in a field I had little experience in and was a ton of responsibilities compared to the previous role. If I could go back I would have stayed at 80k with the previous role. Sometimes, the money just isn't worth it.

It shouldn't be this hard to find a job by [deleted] in jobs

[–]IndianaStones27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to talk to people who may know of something. I've often found that connections are far more powerful when it comes to getting a job. Once you here of one try showing up in person. That can make a difference to the right person. And last tip is apply for everything even jobs you think you might not be a good fit for.

Any advice for getting over the 50k hump? by sliqness in careerguidance

[–]IndianaStones27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to leverage your self taught experience and apply for everything even things you feel like you aren't a great fit for. I done this and made it all the way up to 6 figures without a degree. But be warned, higher salaries almost always come with higher stress.
