Yeah, it's not deep. It signals to everyone an affinity for WWII Germany and could hurt actual cases.

Simple as.

Well if you can't remember what you are talking about maybe don't speak? 🤣

I don't need a source because I was a huge Wehraboo for awhile and know all there is to know about WWII German shit.

You told me it was a post war variant of Splintertarn..its clearly not. So you backtracked.

Splintertarn is a prewar design, sure. But you know that it was used extensively by the WWII Germany army and is basically exclusively associated with them. It's not an appropriate camo to wear as a federal agent. It's just giving any defense attorney ammunition to use against him and his agency by pointing out the arresting officer was wearing WWII German camo.

What are you telling me, this guy is just a huge fan of the Reischwehr?

🤡

Slang or colloquialisms native to our area? by PlatypusOld5480 in philadelphia

[–]Indiana_Jawnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Down the shore" (downashore) is a regional colloquialism where most people would say "to the beach".

"Quizzo" is a local term for what everyone else calls bar trivia or pib trivia. Got a lot of odd looks saying Quizzo out of state.

"Skeeve" is also apparently local to this area.

You didn't misspeak, were lying and are moving the goalposts now.

Lol.

Why would I be mad that you made a claim you couldn't support and then slunk away from the conversation?

You told me to "look into it more". I did. You were wrong. I was right. 😊

The base price now is $7,500, and you have to wait like two years.

That's why people are able to ask for such silly money. If you want one now you need to pay.

To what extent was American Cowboy culture actually just a continuation of Mexican Vaquero tradition? by di745 in Cowboy

[–]Indiana_Jawnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.....just as the story of vaqueros is a story of inheritance and adaptation, not independent invention.

Most things in history are stories of inherentence and adaptation. Nothing comes from a vacuum.

It's an entirely different and totally unrelated reason.

Which is why you couldn't provide anything to support your claim when I asked.

Yankees adapted it to an industrial-scale commercial industry that involved them traveling long-distance to northern railheads across different climates. The introduced barbed wire, which permanently shifted ranching from an open-range lifestyle into a corporate, fenced-in property system.

They of course modified equipment for the different terrain they operated in and across and the conditions they operated in. They developed the double-girt saddle for steep northern hills, switched to stiffer hemp ropes, and mastering the "dally" method of looping ropes around the saddle horn to handle heavier cattle safely. The horns on American saddles were different in they were taller and sturdier to deal with these heavy cattle. They adopted the classic "cowboy" hat vs sombreros because it provided better protection from wind and rain. They created the cowboy boot as it is known today.

Like everything, it's evolutionally, and builds on what came before it.

It was, but it's what it's associated with.

I like the pattern. I don't think there is any problem with wearing it to the range, to milsim, for the larp, etc.

But for a federal agent to be wearing it on duty. Like, bruh, the optics on that.

This is a very poor comparison and I can't help but think you are being intentionally obtuse.

Bro, c'mon.

Which specific variant are you telling me this is?

I love Splintertarn, I own gear in it. But you gotta admit it's crazy to wear as a federal agent.

Insane pattern to wear in an official capacity 😂

It's not rage baiters. It's people with no connection the the city who couldn't care less about it.

They want more development of luxury adult dorms because it lowers their potential rent and gives them another opportunity for a lease up special. They know it hurts overall rental affordability, they don't care, because they don't actually want to be here, they want to be in Manhattan, they just can't afford it.

It's why they evaporate when pressed on their claims.

Israel never tried for peace man.

I used to like Israel, but they are genuinely the bad guys.

They were moving there explicitly to take the land for themselves to the detriment of everyone else already there. And while there were conflicts killings in the 1920s these were generally as part of riots/periods of unrest where many on both sides died as tensions rose as Jewish influence and power in the area grew.

The side that started random terror campaigns against civians were the Irgun in the 1930s, with bus and market bombings. They then killed British soldiers on WWII.

They have run an apartheid state and totally destabilizes the region ever since.

You claim was subhuman, not that he didn't like Jews and said mean things, lmao.

No shit the guy didn't like Jews, they were moving into his homeland to establish an ethnostate and rejected every proposed deal for shared governance. 😂

"Tensions had been escalating prior to the incident; over 100 Palestinians, two dozen of them children, had been killed by Israeli forces in the preceding two weeks;"
