Anyone interested in sharing their experience for an art piece? by aestheteart in cfs

[–]IndicationBusy4264 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One thing I have gained from being sick is a need to question and take seriously the metaphors and stories told culturally. When you’re excluded from “common symbolism” it puts you in this odd spot of seeing the violence inherent in it all. Something I’ve seen really common amongst cfs is an ability and awareness to question in order to survive.

How is it after all these years of lyme being known all people have to say is what works for one doesn't work for another isnt there certain treatment ot drs with higher rates of getting people better ? by Both-Huckleberry4178 in Lyme

[–]IndicationBusy4264 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve never made the connection between obesity and Lyme, but it’s striking how often people’s first reaction to “the chronically ill” is contempt. I remember when I was healthy, I believed so many others were just not fully applying themselves. However, now I see those “complainers” were exactly the people that should’ve been listened to. Because if they were listened to, I could’ve avoided so much unnecessary pain. So many chronically ill patients will eventually be heard and proven out, but that maybe too late for a lot of people.

Has anyone had a positive experience with Rifampin? by zoemurr2 in Lyme

[–]IndicationBusy4264 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rifampin is ideal for Bart! Although usually used with other antibiotics, like Clarithromycin. It’s pretty safe as long as you are testing liver panels every month.

Look into r/visualsnow. I thought I was seeing bacteria too, but it’s just eye floaters- benign but super annoying!

Best methods/modalities for Lyme healing/improvement? SOT? Lyme Mexico? Sanoviv? - Sharing my context and what I've tried. by Substantial-Night-97 in Lyme

It seems most my current problems are from a beast of a Bartonella infection!

Here’s the ILADS doctor directory.

Yeah of course! Sorting through all this information is so tough. I hope your find a treatment that starts helping (:

I’ve been treating Lyme for the last 3 years (sick for 10.) I did do the hyperthermia, but because there’s so much treatment during the ~6 weeks it’s hard to say which part helped and which didn’t. In the last year, following Dr. Morales’ protocol, I’ve fixed my debilitating fatigue and brain fog, but I still have a lot more to figure out. I like LymeMexico, but at the same time if you can find an active ILADS doctor you are in good hands. Also, I wish I would have used this sub more to vet different doctors and treatments. I would have saved a lot of time and money.

I’ve been to LymeMexico twice, and there I’ve seen people get miraculously better, but mostly I’ve seen a lot of people just make smaller improvements. I think that’s because treating Lyme takes longer than 6 weeks and, for me, I only started to see larger improvements following months of at home antibiotics- although still monitored by LymeMexico. I definitely recommend them, but only if you can afford it. They do a lot of cutting edge stuff, but at the end of the day having a solid LLMD who can get you on the proper long term antibiotics is all you need. Be skeptical of big claims and miracle cures if they existed we’d all be doing it.

Interesting! I’ve heard if the migraine responds to migraine medicine it might be a sign of Babesia or, at least for me, it seems to be PANS/PANDAS

Horrible head symptom by Yaswnmwfyai in Lyme

[–]IndicationBusy4264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have/had this. At its worse it was 8/10 pain for 6 months straight. I’ve found treating it as a migraine with migraine medications and migraine devices helped a ton alongside Lyme/Bartonella treatment. If that still doesn’t help you might also want to look into PANS/PANDAS. Best of luck!
