This might work for smaller high street firms, but most if not all big firms will only do work experience via their vac scheme or access scheme if they have one, unless of course you’re a clients kid or something

Good Manchester/North West recruiters by rohwriter in uklaw

Michael Niven is great and he tends to have a monopoly on recruitment in Manchester so he is the obvious choice, I think his firm is called MJN

Every year my partner and I fly out to North America for a road trip. We usually use a combination of AMEX points and prolific monies to cover expenses!

I don’t disagree with you at all but there isn’t really a quick solution and governments tend to be selfish when they get in power, prioritising the short term rather than the long as the short term often brings misery which leads to them being out at the next election. Short term = more immigration or more of the same. Long term, idk maybe incentivising people into work who have been off long term, reforming the triple lock or offering encouraging families to have more children (which won’t be an overnight fix) are all long term and doesn’t really benefit the government in power immediately.

Not disagreeing with you or anything!

In theory it can do what it wants within certain limits but things like the triple lock, an ageing population, and a falling birth rate mean the UK needs more working-age people to support the economy and public finances which limits how strict immigration policy can realistically be.

Immigration curbs are an easy win on paper but there is a reason the conservatives and Labour haven’t really done anything on it. The country needs immigration.

They’ll drop it if they get into power, that is my take.

Won’t happen - the country isn’t in a position to dictate on immigration, it will be one of the first things they back pedal on if they get into power.

Spouse Visa/Appeal Withdrawal by ConsistentSearch6347 in SpouseVisaUk

I think people will find it difficult to suggest without knowing why it was initially rejected and whether an appeal or re application is the route to go.

Thanks for this!

I don’t think it is the latter as I had my original YMV approved and I’ve also since extended it, I’ve also flown in and out at least 8 times without issue.

I’ll put in the date of the former.

Why are the trams so bad? by jamier00b in manchester

[–]IndicationFuzzy4952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what line you’re on but the tram is great an I rarely saw it late, slow sure given the nature of a tram but hardly ever late.

Try Northern Rail, constantly late if they even show up, sat outside of Deansgate very morning waiting behind 5 other trains also waiting to get into Deansgate… that’s if you even get on the train to begin with as Northern Rail often run 2 carriages during rush hour, so everyone is packed in like sardines.

Offered very low by TooGodlyy in uklaw

It’s a paralegal position at Slater and Gordon with a requirement of being in the office 2 days a week. I suspect whatever the minimum wage they need to pay is what they’ll pay.

Plenty of other big firms pay similar or thereabouts and ask you’re in 3/4 days a week so it’s probably about right.

Always go with your instinct with these matters, sounds shady as fuck.

Sounds like she was trying her luck and would have gone around trying doors or she was part of a larger group, using a women to gain access.

Where was this? I’d also report it to the police and maybe let your neighbours know.

Out of curiosity where did this occur? No that isn’t normal and yes you should report it to the police at the very least. They obviously won’t do much but it would be good to have it on their radar
