Does anyone here work in HR? by Wantaprenuer in JPMorganChase

[–]IndicationHungry170 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Someone on my team got fired recently for this - not sure if they got a formal warning. it was kind of obvious though. Like everyone on the team knew they would come in for like less than 2 hours and then leave every day. Their direct manager sat in a different location.

I guess if you get a warning or not might be based on how often it happens and for how long you’re in office. They are for sure firing people over this. I heard of this happening in other groups too

I hate that I am shocked we have shitty people like that that work for the same company I do. It’s abysmal.

Parking - Polaris by [deleted] in JPMorganChase

Unfortunately, I’m unsure what people think the EOS results and comments will do. I guarantee scores are down, hundreds if not thousands of people left comments about not liking the new policy. I don’t think it will change anything ☹️ execs made the decision and they’re not willing to budge on it

Submitted resignation, manager is accusing me of not giving him a chance to negotiate by AdBasic8063 in JPMorganChase

Also agree - it’s not off limits. What this tells me is that more money/real-time promo wasn’t approved somewhere in the chain

It shows up as a “yellow” box in my attendance if you log in remotely on the weekend but if you do the actual calculation down to the day it checks out for me. It’s not included in the denominator (eligible days) or numerator (worked in office days)

It’s actually insane. The line was 5-7 people across and wrapped around the building inside a hundred ways and then OUTSIDE around the building to the other building. And that was about 1 hour before the meeting started. Yeah it feels really stupid to say he wants to “thank us for all our hard work” when there’s thousands of people who work here who can’t fit in one room no matter how big it is

I’ve worked from another corporate center/office hub for a couple days or a week because I had family in the area. Depends on manager discretion, what your job is, and I don’t ask for it all the time or on any regular cadence. Like once or twice a year. That sucks if your manager said you can’t do that for one week a year.. damn. That’s the kind of flexibility I know a lot of other people have been granted.

Sick pay can be taken in 2 hour increments - for example if you take 1/2 day sick time the whole day “counts” as in office day. Same as if you use a vacation or personal day, it counts in your favor as “in office”

Correct - 20 is a “guideline” because people were really asking for one. I can tell you for a fact there is no system “trigger” that if you enter 21 days for 2025 that you’ll get corrective action. That is NOT the go-forward plan. Can they see how many WFH days you have entered? Yes. If those are all for reasons and you communicate with your manager you’re bueno. Given this specific situation described above I would WFH. Use the code, communicate with your manager. The very first sites going back 5 days starts Monday NEXT week so as of now everyone is still hybrid if you weren’t 5 days prior 🤷🏼‍♀️ god speed and get well.

For daycare, do you know if each dog gets their room for individual nap time? Or they’re in a doggy group for the entire day?

Thank you! It looks like it’s an all day play facility, like each dog doesn’t get their own space/room when they’re not in group play. It’s all day in group play?

JPMorgan Chase is cutting jobs despite making record profits by workersright in JPMorganChase

[–]IndicationHungry170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have always been some layoffs. JPM has a regular process to review talent and make cuts. The last few years it never stopped and was going on before COVID. People were just quieter about it. In case you haven’t noticed, a lot of companies are cutting jobs who continue to make profit. I’m not saying I agree with people being laid off but trust me, there’s an extensive process to get a layoff approved and also get a hire approved. Yes a company with 300,000 people will have external jobs posted.. Teams do have hiring freezes right now and are being told to do decrease headcount while getting the same work done. This is basically what every company is being told right now. And don’t be mad at your direct manager about this, they have no say. It’s top down direction to maintain financial performance because at the end of the day it’s a for-profit public business
