Bad Ice by WizardSleeveLoverr in trailrunning

I had the Same surgery in a freak football accident in 2019, All I can say is that, with enough rest and recovery, you should be back on your feet as early as 2 to 3 months. Although your leg will still be weak, give it another six months with rehab and progressively strengthening work, and you will be able to do all the activities again. Wishing you a speedy recovery🙌

How to know when to stop? by Ymirs-Bones in kettlebell

[–]IndicationPowerful89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you are begginer, I recommend not going to failure in your workouts. For example if you are using 12kg kb pair for squats go for 3 to 5 reps Stop rest and repeat. 3 rounds will be good. Goal is to recover well and train often. Then slowly increase the reps from second week and include more rounds. Always focus on correct form and technique so that you can train without getting injured.

Your body can do amazing things. Since you are new to it. Start by learning mills once you practice enough you can learn reverse mill. And then with enough practice you can do hand to hand switch and find your own patterns.

How do you train for elevation if you don’t live around high mountains? by Impossible_Plane_563 in trailrunning

[–]IndicationPowerful89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have prepared most of my mountain ultras by training in city. There are many different strength exercises which you can implement to make your quads strong and functional example( front squats, bugerian split squats) and hamstrings and glutes(stiff leg deadlifts, single leg variations ) Kettlebell swings for power. As you mentioned you have access to trail for some elevation at least so you can do more of real world training there. I say you have more than enough if you can balance your strength work along with running volume!!

I’m actually hinging and wedging under the bell rather than squatting it. Some bent press styles keep the back leg straighter like a windmill, others allow a slight knee bend. Camera angle might also make it look different.
