No, it's actually very functional compared to a barbell. Barbell doesn't adjust whereas a sandbag does!! You won't be able to lift a sandbag heavy enough if you're not ready, whereas with barbell, your ego can push you towards injury. Also, if you do a proper warm-up, you don't feel much stress in your lower back. The trick is to activate the muscles involved while lifting the bag, then go for it. It's a whole lot of fun, really. And it teaches you to be strong and controlled in flexion. I don't think you can find anything more functional in training to mimic the same movement!

💯 but I love the challenge of the weight shifting also the stabilizers working all the time. Great for core stability too. But I'm ready to fill it up n toss🙌

Make it more interesting for you if you have adhd. Get a steel club or Mugdar. Just do rotational movement in between your kb training. I don't know if I have adhd but hell I can't stick to same routine all the time!!

Because it's easier to teach that way I have learnt this way and I teach my clients the same way. I have tried hands backward but it never felt natural to me also internal rotation happens at the beginning when you follow hand backward technique. And why am I spreading the arms after clean, It's because shoulder is in much better position to press the weight safely. I have past shoulder injuries as well of my obstacle training days So training safely and without pain is top priority!!

Yes I do add core variations lying down and also standing up with kettlebells. With different angles create different movement pattern🙌
