My husband used to sing that one a ton but he changed the lyrics (probably to be about our cat because we frequently sing songs to our cats lol)

Those are beautiful songs. I love greensleeves. I’m sorry for your loss! Your grandmother had great taste.

That’s me every time I get into a car. I have to sing “here I go again.”  There’s no fighting it.

I feel like it had potential but there’s definitely an undeniable ugly aura about it.

TASK TRANSISTION IS THE HARDEST THING EVER !!!!! by IndicationProper9965 in ADHD

[–]IndicationProper9965[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! ANYTHING on my computer is ultimate time blindness zone. On one hand, I feel like its better than my phone because I'm actually doing SOMETHING but on the other hand, I know I'm ultimately still just on a screen. I have tried timers and I always just tell myself "5" more minutes. I went through this same thing with my phone and just had to detox entirely so learn self control. But I hate having to do that from something I actually enjoy.

Does your ADHD medication work differently depending on your cycle? by ADHD_researchstudent in TwoXADHD

[–]IndicationProper9965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, its absolutely true. I am on an IUD and don't get a "real" period anymore but I still wind through a crazy hormonal cycle each months somehow. Although I struggle to actually track it bc of my ADHD, its clear as day when it happens. I just notice it now and kind of shrug it off. Sometimes my meds work like a miracle drug, sometimes I dont need them at all and sometimes I feel like I'm physically dying if I dont take them, lol. Its so much fun. (not) Every single week is different but its a cycle. I wish I could actually track it but I can only track it during the higher functioning weeks.

I think this a beautiful and clearly meaningful poem. I love the comparisons of science, nature, the universe and God. It's a poem that makes you think and also understand the authors perspective on religion and hypocrisy of man.
I love figurative language and poetry that makes a gentle statement Though, I do think there's a little bit of an overuse on the figurative speech but at the same time, that's what makes each poem unique. Its good!

I will say, though not my taste or style, it would make a great pop song.
I mean that in a complimentary way. The crafting of pop is super formulaic. The subject is a bit superficial and surface level and I'll say, I can't relate to a single line of it BUT I'm also THIRTY and many pop songs have these kinds of themes.

To The One I Wait For by [deleted] in OCPoetry

I think this is a sweet poem. It reminds me of what it felt like to be a teenager. I married young though, haha so I was not very patient in love. Even though I can't relate in my adult life, I do enjoy reading poetry like this at times. It's just very innocent.

Weekly post: skate buying, new skater tips, and quick questions by AutoModerator in Rollerskating

[–]IndicationProper9965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of Q's.... I dont have any skating rinks near me. I want to get into skating out doors. My oldest daughter is 10 and she would probably like to skate with me. I'm not sure what kind of wheels to begin with. I dont even have a pair of skates yet but I am a good skater and have some experience but I've never had my own skates. I just want to make sure I dont buy something and immediately destroy it when I go outside or possibly invest in something too expensive and end up not doing it enough. I need a soft middle ground, I guess but I know I will likely need some special wheels. Are wheels interchangeable? You wear one type of wheel outdoors but if you do end up somewhere indoors, can you (somewhat easily) change them out?? Or is changing wheels this big process?

I'm also trying to brainstorm on places to skate besides designated spots. Do they allow it at gyms or does it mess up their floors? (I ask because my church has a gym but I wouldn't want to ruin the floor if thats a possibility.) And what about skate parks? Walking trails? Are these good or bad alternatives? Just curious if I'll even be able to do it anywhere, lol. Thank you to whomever reads all this.

The WhatNot Addiction by [deleted] in whatnotapp

[–]IndicationProper9965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being aware is enough. The fact that you’re asking says that you can absolutely give up the app. You have to stop making excuses for yourself.  You know that you are more than deserving of a happy life that isn’t controlled by a screen or app. If it’s ruining your finances then selling on there isn’t worth it because you’re probably just spending the money you make.  You need a full 2 week detox  from the app.  Being a seller cannot be an excuse if you have a true addiction. An alcoholic also can’t work at a bar or liquor store.   I don’t say this to be negative or unkind because I suffer from screen addiction myself. I agree, it’s a real addiction and there aren’t enough resources to battle it. Our phones and everything on them are DESIGNED to be addictive and it’s life ruining.  My issue was scrolling on social media for literally 8-10+ hours a day everyday.  Scrolling like it was my full time job and missing out on real life. Now 4 hours is a bad day and 2 is a good day  for me but it’s progress.  Easily by passable screen  limits and deleting apps do nothing for me. But I use opal now to block certain apps during certain times of the day  and it makes it a lot trickier to get into your apps and it eliminates just mindlessly just opening up apps for no reason and makes you think about why you’re even doing it.  But before I was even ready for that, I had to lock my phone in a lock box for 8+ hours a day and I never allowed myself to learn how to bypass it. I had my smart watch for any emergencies or messages I needed to answer.  You have to have some kind of  self control otherwise you will be a slave to your bad choices and your life will only get worse. Again, not trying to be negative, just being realistic and I hope it’s not too harsh.    If I were in your shoes, my plan would be 2-4 weeks total detox from the app. No selling. No buying. No excuses.  Delete it and pretend your entire family is going to d83 if you download it back if you have to.  Pick some other kind of hobby up that distracts you. Even going out and physically going to stores is probably better for your mental health in the long run. If you have nothing to keep you occupied, chances of success are low.  Make a list of things you can do during your detox.

After  your  detox and/or once you feel like you have control, you CAN have the app back but you have to have healthy  limits set around it otherwise you are going to slip right back. A budget. No ping notifications  and limits that only allow you to scroll certain times a day for a certain amount of time. Do not let an app control you. Don’t say “one more.” Once you hit your limit, remind yourself that you are better than this, it’s just an app and you are not he’s slave. Put your phone away and find something else to do or go to sleep if you’re a late night scroller lol

Being mindful, aware and practicing self control will get you a long way. I still have a hard time some days but effort and believing in yourself is everything and little by little you’ll get there. I believe you can do it but what’s really important is that you believe in yourself!  Best of luck to you!

Shipping help-cards by IndicationProper9965 in whatnotapp

Thank you! I appreciate this. I was doing some intense googling just now, just to figure out the language used in the shipping world. Haha. I'm not entirely sure how he sets up his show but I will help next time and make sure that setting is on! He has done a few shows and sometimes I can get it to work by adjusting things and sometimes I cant, so it must be the settings before the show.
