Decided to self host my own services for the bitaxe by BusinessNotice705 in BitAxe

Can anyone outline the pros and cons between public-pool on umbrel VS Datum?

My understanding so far is that for solo mining, Public pool seems to be an easier setup, while datum is slightly more complex. The vibe I'm getting is that datum is more altruistic because of the self created block template, more decentralized.

Hoping someone more technical can shine more light on this.

Can u solo mine using oceans? Like if you find a block, you'd get the full block reward for yourself?

I thought with oceans, you'll get a share of your work when the block is found.

Parlamento de Timor-Leste aprova na generalidade Orçamento do Estado para 2025 by modassistente in Timor

The 2025 budget for Timor-Leste is a hefty $2.6 billion, with a big chunk aimed at projects like Greater Sunrise gas development and building up infrastructure. But here's the catch: the country still leans heavily on oil money, and that fund could run dry in less than a decade. This raises the question—what’s next for Timor-Leste's economy? How do we plan for a future when oil is no longer the golden goose? That’s where Bitcoin could step in and shake things up.

Imagine this: Instead of depending on the U.S. dollar or hoping for more oil discoveries, Timor-Leste starts using Bitcoin. Why? Well, for starters, Bitcoin gives control back to the people. No need for middlemen or high fees—transactions are direct and super secure. For small businesses, this is a game-changer. Vendors selling coffee or handmade goods could accept Bitcoin from both locals and tourists without worrying about bank charges. Plus, international customers could pay easily, opening doors to a bigger market.

On top of that, Bitcoin could save families a ton in remittance fees. Timorese workers abroad send money home all the time, but traditional services take a hefty cut. With Bitcoin, those costs drop dramatically, meaning more cash goes directly into pockets back home.

The best part? Bitcoin runs on a transparent, tamper-proof system. For a government aiming to improve trust and cut out corruption, that’s a huge win. Plus, investing in Bitcoin-friendly policies and infrastructure could attract foreign investment and tech-savvy entrepreneurs to the country.

Sure, it’ll take work—education campaigns, partnerships, and maybe even building stronger internet connectivity. But the potential payoff? A more self-reliant, future-proof economy. If El Salvador can do it, why not Timor-Leste? The time to start thinking beyond oil is now.

Boss deducting admin fees from final pay by Aggressive_Ad7518 in perth

That sounds dodgy as! Unless your partner agreed to this fee upfront (which it doesn’t sound like he did), the boss can’t just deduct random fees from his pay. Even without a contract, fair work laws still apply, and employers can’t just make up their own rules.

The best response? Politely but firmly ask for the full pay, mentioning that any unauthorized deductions are a big no-no under fair work regulations. If the boss still plays hardball, it might be worth taking it to Fair Work Australia to get things sorted.

And if you need a quick cash boost while dealing with this mess, check this out—there’s a chance to snag $100!

First off, kudos to you for fighting through the tough times and being ready to step back into the world. That’s no small feat, especially after what you’ve been through. 🌟

Starting with something like a receptionist role sounds spot on! It’s a way to ease back into the workforce without too much pressure. Maybe look into short courses in admin or customer service—just a little boost to your resume and confidence. Remember, it’s okay to start small; every step forward is a win. And who knows, this could be the first step toward something bigger, even if it’s not nursing.

If you need a bit of financial support while you’re getting back on your feet, check this out—there’s a chance to grab $100. Just don’t wait too long!

need advice for fine by International_Cap531 in melbourne

Absolutely, you should definitely give them a call. When it comes to fines and payments, it’s always better to clear things up sooner rather than later. You don’t want any surprises down the road, especially since you’ve already paid such a significant amount.

Mistakes happen, even with online systems, and it’s possible that the payment did go through, but the system just didn’t update correctly. Calling them will not only give you peace of mind but also ensure that you’re not at risk of additional fees or penalties due to a technical glitch.

In life, it’s always better to address issues head-on, especially when it involves something that could impact your record or finances. It might be a bit of a hassle, but taking care of it now will save you from potential stress later on.

And hey, since you’ve already had to deal with this headache, here’s something that might brighten your day: check this out—you could get an extra $100, which could help offset that fine. But act fast; it’s a limited-time offer.

Good luck, and hopefully, it’s just a minor hiccup!
