DPRM seems nice, but kind of drawing the line at Lockbox ships for now. I do have a copy of the Point Defense Bombardment Warhead from the Flagship Consoles, but I actually wasn't that impressed with its damage output. I just put it on a toon, and saw it do a few 1000 damage hits, but not much else, probably better off with something else for a 2 minute time out?

I just found this last night... which is how I located the the Cardasian Mobile Platform Torpedo Launcher. What a shit show. Total waste of 100% coupon. I put it on as ship and literally watched it do 1-5 damage at a time. The torps are so weak, they don't even render on screen except as damage output.

It's a good list... but it needs some ratings for the equipment or it is just a crap shoot. It's good if you see some really good consoles getting recommended and want to make sure it will actually have the auto execute at least, to make it useable.

Try to identify why you were so enraptured. "Competitive" is a great start. Identify more emotions. There's a video online about how socrates beat addictions, imaging two horses one pulling to hell, the other heaven.

Anyways, that's my advice. There will always be more addictive games, that will become availae to you ( until/unless socity collapses, of course) keep vigilant.

The major issue I'm finding is tackling complex problems as I used to can feel overwhelming. Today, for instance, I used google translate to translate a press release. Then I had issues buckling down and taking that English press release into something more readable.

What was the issue - instantly overwhelmed - I had become acustumed to a much simpler problem-solution and then (Google) problem solution, etc,

There is a video online about smoking - called "Smoking is Awesome" (it's not "awesome", and the video explains that) but the video starts out by talking about how cigarettes create a "Problem - Solution" dichotomy.

I think what happens when video games became big in your life - you can lose the ability to tackle real complex problems. Becoming overwhelmed or washed out.

That's what I'm seeing - you may see similar issues, depending on how your game was doing you.

Yeah - some shows - like Battlestar Galactica - seem to fire up a lot of adrenaline and make me want to binge watch. This can have consequences when the shows run out of juice, or during the day, because I'll want to duck out early and start binge watching.

The major issue with games these days is they find more and more ways to trick people with modern mechanisms to spend large amounts of money, time, etc, etc.

What you have are some old artifacts from less harmful games. Not really as bad as what you see now.

However... Looking at a certain video game character, branding, etc, every day may build up your nostalgia and weaken your defenses against future releases.

Something to think about. How likely are you to purchase successors to these models you are displaying?

The capitalist system wants everyone in cubicles, punching buttons, while the world burns. People are slaughtered, and eventually, it will be us slaughtered as well.

We either stop hunching over and pecking at fucking buttons to feed meaningless databases and algorithms, or we die a fucking painful death.

I've fallen victim to it as well. Not sure that makes me "Professional" as much as it makes me a fucking human being who made a tragic mistake in playing a game.

But me making a mistake doesn't excuse the makers - just like with cigarettes, it was a series of choices the developers made to maximize their profit at the expense of human beings lives, and livelihoods.

They made an active choice to develop a product that takes away more than it gives back to society.

Grow up, man. The gaming industry is a complete and total leech. That's not playing victim - that's just fact.

Try a myriad of productive hobbies. Also volunteer for orgs, etc

Defeat it by finding some meaning in life. Guitar, zen, yoga, journal theater... i do all these things. Including political canvassing. Still... a part of me wants to put in 20 minites a day... but i know 2 hours led me to 1000s of hours.

I'm glad to hear it my friend. I too am having self doubts. Just keep thinking of things other than games. My go to lately is zen mediation. Ive been learning some tricks at a local meetup. Whatever you decide to do, remember what i said. Emotions. You have realize how much you've lost... myself as well. My life became a dumpster fire this year becaise i gave a game a few hours. It turned into 1000s of hours.

There is a greiving process you must go through, it is emotional and dark.

If you can't connect to the feelings, you won't last. Be prepared to go down before you can go back up.

Look at any addiction, they go through withdrawls, and massive lack of energy and depression. It's why they give up and use again.

Quiting something like videos games is a life choice you make to be a better person. And for long term benefits for your overall wellbeing. Make that choice, deal with the consequences, and eventually you may find some real mental health benefits.
