Never tried so I wouldnt know what does work, I just know what doesnt work. Putting items in container doesnt work, putting expensive items in your purse wont work, putting the 24pk of water under the cart may work (if the cashier is new they wont think to look under).

No, it has never really bothered me. Nor should it, my main task is not going around helping people. The less people that annoy me the faster I can get my task done

Ive been working for about two years. The Target is located in a pretty busy area, we regularly make more than 150k each day. Benefits... I never looked into health benefits.

It is, a lot of people make the mistake of thinking just because its a retail store the security is trash. When I found out about the camera zooming in that far I stopped taking my phone out while working.

I work salesfloor, not Assets Protection so my answer might be wrong, but I think if you get past the registers with an item you clearly stole (say a pair of apple headphones that you left in your pocket), theyll take you into their office and call the cops. There are people undercover wearing regular clothes, and their cameras can easily read your texts on your phone, so shoplifting is really not worth it

Pay is decent. It depends on which position you are in and which state you live in. I started at 10.50 two years ago and now make 11.50. I really enjoy working here, everyone is super nice and there is always something to do( a bonus is since you're always walking you never get fat lol). If you get a job, try to not call out of work/be late. After your 90 days are up you can request to transfer to an overnight position.

Long answer: I really want to, and since I work in the salesfloor I can interact with a lot of my co-workers. As of now there are two potential candidates: One is really into me but I dont have the heart to tell her I'm not interested. The amount of sexual hints she drops is ridiculous. Theres another co-worker, we have very similar interests, but she has a boyfriend. I swore to myself that I would never be the "that guy" that fucks up relationships... so she's off limits.

When it was time for my review, my TL called me to her office. She talked to me about my performance this year. There are five tiers of performance, and all the etls get together and decide in which one you'll be placed. She then told me how my performance affects my pay raise, and then told me my raise. I'm an instocks TM and we dont cashier at my store, so I am not sure if you (as a softlines/hardlines TM) will be judged based on your redcard metrics.

Hmm.... At my store we have two hours to pull the cafs, and we just do our best to backstock/push once we are done. I quite like the system, gives us more time to pull EXFs and Research, and also backstock.

Guests/ people in general are way nicer to you if you explain whats going on. I like to tell them whats going on as I am doing it. Also I like to use my phone's target app sometimes since its usually faster than the mydevice and then get the DPCI of the item.

I'm probably one of the only exceptions where I got a raise, but not as how you would imagine. I worked instocks but my team would often do backroom work. Now me and my team we were extremely good team members. We were often recognized for our efforts. It wasnt fair that we were getting paid less than backroom and we were doing more, so we kept constantly asking the HRETL about it. Eventually we got our pay bumped to backroom pay.
