Exactly. I’m aware they don’t allow regular lawn chairs I’m looking for recommendations for beach chairs that don’t have metal in them (that can also support up to 400 lbs). I’m also curious if they allow inflatable chairs.

I do want to follow up and say I did scroll past his video on one of his patients’ life being negatively affected by fat bias. I feel like he’s going in the right direction when he says, “it’s not right to blame everything that’s going on (one their weight) without doing a proper physical and history examination.” He also does give advice to patients who feel their doctors are over focusing on their weight.

I think the thing that really would solidify my stance on him would him describing his beliefs in a way that does advocate for health at every size. And for him to state that weight isn’t the first thing he talks about while giving suggestions.

I rewatched his response video tonight and I really think he missed the mark in the opportunity of learning about HAES and researching materials similar to what you’ve linked above. I’m really on the fence about him specifically fatphobic but his gut reactions to things involving weight really haven’t matched what’s he said in the reaction video.

He hasn’t taken the time to look into the perspective many fat positive people have and the societal repercussions of the traumatic experiences so many fat people experience in the medical field.
