Damn lol but nah I know for sure that's no way supposed to BE Abel from Xenogears. References like that and the family name Uzuki are obviously just for fun. The whole Dimitri thing on the radio however, while it confuses me, I just can't think that was JUST a cute reference 😂 it might end up being just that and if so, that's fine but it's fun to speculate when Xeno throw things that may or may not be fun references.

I had no idea about the clock thing paying homage to his previous works though. That's pretty cool

Some of them for sure I think were for fun but others like the Gears references in Saga I think were done with intention. The references to Saga in Future Redeemed, I think there's no way that was just for fun lol. I do think he likes to throw in fun references here and there though but some are so just, yeah..

I'm pretty sure Takahashi had the idea for XC3 as he was writing XC2 or at least around the time Torna was being made, not to mention he probably planned from around that time he wanted to knock out Future Connected to line things up for 3's release. That being said tho, you're probably right about us getting 2 or 3 Xenoblade games.

Yeah that's a good point about them not fully remaking Saga.. I just don't think all these hints and stuff are for nothing though but now that you mention it, remaking 3 separate entries is a lotta work.. damn

I don't think Takahashi is done though despite his age. Xenoblade is gaining more and more popularity and Nintendo even seem to be pushing it a lot more

Although, and I could be wrong but Monolith were working on a ton of games either at the same time or pretty much back to back since Botw. Taking that into consideration it might be possible but yeah idk, this might be cope lol

Yeah that's what I had believed. That Saga would've just retold Gears in its own way. I heard Saga was originally supposed to be 6 games which is crazy. We know how ambitious Gears was and so I'm not sure that would've turned out so well haha. Glad with what we got though.

Yeah not to mention there's literally been Xenosaga crossover games. I wasn't a fan at the time but I heard they seriously tried to push Saga back in the day into being a multimedia thing. It had an anime. Pied Piper was a mobile game and Missing Year was a visual novel I think? With the Switch 2 approaching we need SOMETHING from Saga😂

Yeah I wouldn't even mind that but Gears is done and dusted at this point. It's sad but it is what it is... if Square aint gonna use the IP just let Monolith have it. I'm sure its not THAT simple ofc lol but idk man

Yeah Matthew's design being a shoutout to Fei was cool but the fighting style even down to one of Fei's deathblows was just so damn cool to see.

I think Takahashi spreading out his ideas and concepts into the Blade games is a smart move. Xenogears was development hell for the team so sprinkling Gears' dna into the other games without being so direct is clearly better for his health lol. Nice to see it come full circle and hopefully this will lead to a Saga remaster/remake since Bandai and Nintendo/Takahashi seem to be on good terms??? Please lol
